How about a panoramic roof from a G6 for the back window? then you can use the backdoor as the tail gate?

Hi Ryan, Not that I know anything about doing something like this but the one concern I would have is the integrity of the car that is left after cutting the B & C Pillars. I've had a convertible for over 10 years and it weighs more than the saloon version because of the strengthening beams long the floor. My car weighs 3671 lbs and the saloon weighs 2811lbs Looking forward to seeing what you end up deciding. Take care my friend. Cheers, Huw

It’s so funny that you commented this. I was staring at it yesterday after I gutted it, and that exact thought came to my mind. There is no frame. It’s a body car design, so it does rely on the entirety of the vehicle for its strength. I’m thinking I might just make it a crew cab pick up, thanks again for watching me. Have an amazing day or night whatever time it is over there. Make On my friend

This is my fourth one so yes, I know the feeling. I haven’t gutted and I’m staring at it and I’m thinking I might go with the coop. My van transmission just kicked the bucket so I’ll be looking for a new vehicle tomorrow as my daily and it probably will have four seats so I can kind of have fun with this one. Thanks again for watching. I love reading the comments.

Okay... here's my view on it Ryan. It's pretty sqaure so... Top shop!! get the roof down, than cut the roof out completely, nut leaf all pillars/windows. That make it kind of a convertible , and you could still make some leather or canvas roof for rainy days. Now, I'm all about rusty stuff, so a nice mat finish, some pinstriping and than "weather" it, in short.. rat rod style. But hey, your project, your choices!! BTW, just find a nice old grill from any old car. mount it and sculp the rest around it. So leaving the pillars, make you keep the windows... (Only problem I see is getting a custom size front window after a top shop) Have fun, that's most important! All the best from Portugal!!
@Maker238DeLoach11 күн бұрын
I kinda have the 64 Cadillac Coupe Deville style in my head as far as the look goes. With that being said, I’d have to get rid of all pillars and if I got rid of pillars, that means I could not use the windows anymore. With it being a car just to drive on sunny days I don’t think that will be an issue, as far as the paint what I might do is strip it down and get the finish off of it and then maybe rattle can multiple layers of certain colors in areas that I can sand down so that you can see all the different patinas. Again, if you’re ever in Tennessee swing on by dude. Much thanks my friend. Make On

Nice work, Ryan - reminds me that I still need to make a display case for my Apollo mission patches 🤔. I always thought PEZ should get into making lighters -- flip the lid back, dispense a PEZ, light what you want, and then people could collect them. And they wouldn't all have to be cartoon animal heads (though some should be). I really enjoy your videos. And I don't mind at all that you show the work without going through the "how-to". Guess I have enough experience at this stuff to not need that part. Keep up the fine work! Now I think I'll go clean out the shed so I can start tearing the rickety thing down. Have an awesome weekend, man!

You have reminded me of several things. From raising two kids that loved candy. We have quite a collection of PEZ dispensers. I might need to make another display case. I’m a little jealous of your Apollo mission patches. The other thing you reminded me of is that I have a metal shop that I built almost 2 years ago and I’ve been using it as a storage building. I really need to get out there and get it organized before it gets too hot. Thanks again for watching and I love reading y’all‘s comments. Have an awesome day. Make On

Looks like really slow grown pine to me! I have broken a finger, dislocated fingers multiple times, had deep cuts (all to stupid solutions for cutting rare shaped pieces of wood), but I've never been to a hospital or doctor. (and they are totally free of charge here, hallelujah for a Social Democracy) I'm like more a DIY kind of person! Just make sure you don't get an infection! Nice display you've made there. As it happens I'm making one too at a different scale though... (4 meters x 2.2 meters). Take care, don't do to silly things on this awesome day!! All the best from the Barbacena Backyard.
