To answer the question posed at the end of the video, the US can't "correct" the states' borders. Firstly, because these are the correct borders. Secondly, because it would require approval of the legislatures of all states involved.

The size variation between some of New England's states and most other states is also crazy. Rhode Island is smaller in population and area than Palm Beach County, just one of 67 counties in Florida. Delaware is a little bit bigger than Rhode Island but has fewer counties than any other state (except Louisiana and Alaska, which have parishes and boroughs instead of counties), with only 3 of them, while Texas has the most at 254.

How is Texas's top rectangle a panhandle, but Utah's top rectangle is *not* a panhandle? According to the definition it needs to have an angle? I don't get what the difference is.

TRIVIA: There are three types of salients in North America. A bootheel goes southward, a panhandle goes eastward or westward, and (though rarely used) a "chimney" goes northward.

Kentucky is called the Bluegrass state because of native bluegrass. No, the grass isn't blue, but is a deep shade of slate like green. It's called bluegrass because if it's left alone to fully grow, because its a medium sized grass that gets about 3-4' tall(compared to larger grass like Johnson Grass or corn), it has blue flowers.

USA need to redefine all the state borders, starting with couties joining toghether to create new states, fully ignoring today states borders, in a ring creation from all borders to inside. After the first ring be formed, and aproved by local referenduns, the next ring can be formed, until the last state. New 100 states, with minimum population size rule, and minimum territory size rule.

Thank you for this video. I'd heard people talk about "the panhandle" of Florida, but I never really understood what they meant. Now it's very clear. As to whether the US should change their stateborders, I would say that it's up to the people. You mentioned those of the Florida panhandle feeling more connected to Alabama. I think worldwide it should be easier to change borders. Africa as a whole was divided by others, resulting in wars to this day. There should be a large conference per region where peoples can redraw the maps in a peaceful manner and then have it certified by the UN. In the US this should be allowed too, but the whole process would be easier because only the US government has to certify it. It just doesn't make sense to keep holding on to lines drawn in the past that don't align with the peoples living in and around those lines.
