Why do you add pepper,isn't the mustard hot enough?
@GingerandSeaSaltАй бұрын
The mustard is definitely not hot enough for me but you can omit pepper if you want to. I like spicy food so it’s a personal choice.

About 180 degrees Celsius ( 356 Fahrenheit) for 10-15 minutes. Make sure to check inbetween so that it doesn't burn. If the bread is fresh I'll take longer than if it's stale.

Nice. How do soft drink producers get the clear yellow color? Is is extract from the apples?
@GingerandSeaSalt6 ай бұрын
Hey there - I think they use some sort of acid to stop the oxidation of the apples. I know sometimes citric acid is used. But at home you can also cook the apples a bit and that will prevent them from turning completely brown.

Oh my goodness I’m so sorry you burnt your mum’s pan! Let’s see if this helps - take a bit of washing detergent ( powder form) and place it in the pot with some water over low heat for about 5 minutes. Once the water starts to boil, turn it off and scrub the pan. Let me know if that helps. Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏾🤞🏾😉

Cheers! :D My fried chicken was pretty damned good already [if I do say so myself]; but I've no doubt, it'll be more exquisite with breadcrumbs! :D Why stale bread; because it's already started to dry out? I assume oven drying/toasting bread that's not started to go stale will work just as well. ...... it'll have to, at least this time, I want Golden syrup fried chicken tonight!! >XD
@GingerandSeaSalt Жыл бұрын
Hey there! Yes stale bread because that reduces the time your bread will be in the oven and yes again, you can use fresh bread or not so stale bread as well - it will just take a bit longer. Can’t wait to hear how your fried chicken turns out!
@TheEyez187 Жыл бұрын
@@GingerandSeaSalt It ended up as lemon chicken, not GS. Because of time constraints I couldn't let the chicken sit in hte pre-mix in the fridge for a couple of hours. It was nice, but I've not quite got the hang of getting a good coating that remains on it! Although, again, partly my own fault, I only had pre cooked chicken chunks instead of your typical pieces! What a shame, i'll have to practice more!! :D Thanks for the reply! :D
@GingerandSeaSalt Жыл бұрын
You had a problem with getting the bread crumbs to coat the chicken if I understand correctly? You might want to do a flour-egg-breadcrumb coating - that should help! I hope it was still delicious.
@TheEyez187 Жыл бұрын
@@GingerandSeaSalt Yeah, if I unerstood your process properly it was the missing or subpar pre-coating method that caused the issues. I'll know better next time; and if I remember to, I let you know how it got on. Either way, thank you! :D
