I installed new soft close slides on mine with rear mount brackets and my slides are quite literally hanging by a hair on those brackets. I am absolutely stumped on this
@sengsational5 күн бұрын
When you say hanging by a hair, are you saying that the bracket doesn't overlap the slide very much? If you measure from the front face of the cabinet to the back wall of the cabinet, what is that dimension? Could you put a block of wood on the back wall of the cabinet so that the bracket is closer to the front?
@BuiltToBoost4 күн бұрын
@@sengsational yea they were barely able to sit inside the bracket. I added spacers on the sides of the cabinets right behind the face frame and screwed the slides into those. A much easier solution rather than them being on the brackets

@@BuiltToBoost Yes, the brackets on the back wall are just one option for mounting. If you can get the slides preciously parallel using the spacers on the sides, that's a good solution.

Mine began leaking after 18 years so I went out and bought a new one. I contacted Flushmate and found out that despite its age, mine was still under a recall and they offered to replace it free! I had already purchased another so I declined the offer and told them it lasted 18 years and to my mind that was a job well done! When I first purchased the system on a Kholer toilet I never imagined it would last that long! I was completely satisfied with the performance and did not feel a freebie was justified plus, I didn't want to have to wait another week to fix the problem since I already had a Flushmate that I paid for ready to install the day it arrived.

i would add teflon tape to the threaded fitting for the toilet supply line and also would have caulked at least the sides and front of the toilet
@sengsational2 ай бұрын
Thanks for your ideas. Either or both are fine. Teflon tape is a distinct requirement for fittings that seal on the threads (tapered), and can be helpful in the case of the toilet supply line, where the seal is on a gasket. If you feel like tightening can be smoother with the tape, there's no harm in using it. Caulking the toilet to the floor is fine, but if the seal between the toilet and the waste pipe fails, I'd rather see the leak sooner, and get the problem addressed, as there is no amount of lthat type of liquid that's allowable on the floor.

About 9020T continued... This machine has the electrical connection on one side and the motor below in a separate compartment. Do I disconnect only the outlet on the machine before trying to remove the 2 hook gears?
@sengsational3 ай бұрын
In general, I like to first take photos before disconnecting things. As I recall, the long shaft could not be removed until some electrical things were removed. Although the timing is good now, when the gears are replaced, the timing will probably be disrupted. You might be able to mark the shafts before disassembly, but I have no experience with that. Since the timing is good now, I would take a close look at the way it works now, and take pictures, so you will recognize good timing after you replace the worn gears.

Brilliant result! Thanks for sharing. Just bought a new Orion cooker and going to try out this method. Charcoal is costly and if not careful, it might end up about the same price as eating in restaurant. Since the charcoal I'm using is hexagon shaped sawdust, it can be stacked in four places, hence I wouldn't need partition for now. Does the 3 hours apply to whole chicken as well?
@sengsational3 ай бұрын
I haven't been doing the charcoal saving method because I moved on to an even less expensive way to heat the Orion: propane. A bit more work, but I've had this running successfully for years: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rcWmftum2N_enoU.html There's also an even easier way to convert your Orion to propane, and that's by using the burner out of a "Big Easy": kzfaq.info/get/bejne/pq1gmtuYt6-0mX0.html Note that you can very often find these used Char Broil Big Easy cookers on craigslist for cheap (because people leave them outside and they rust). But the burner is still fine, and that's all you need.

Hi. I bought the same fan it looks like i my gazebo with a 2 ft downrod. do you have any wobble with your fan? i have a slight wobble. wondering if thats normal
@sengsational3 ай бұрын
My fans are pretty stable. Fans often wobble when the fan blades are not equal in weight, or the fan blades are not all in the same plane. I would first get a fan balancing kit and follow those instructions, which detail how to place a test weight on different blades. If you find smoother operation, you add a permanent stick-on weight. Before you get the kit, you might just swap pairs of blades, swapping the position of two blades opposite of each other. Good luck in smoothing things out!

I had two problems. The one mentioned in this video and the other where the microwave would not heat nor spin. I checked, and two of the switches are broken. One did not allow any current to pass through without clicking the switch, and one kept the current going unless clicked.
@sengsational3 ай бұрын
Right, these switches are usually of the type "NO" (normally open) or "NC" (normally closed). Depending on how they designed the circuits, they put those different types of switches in. I never know what I'm going to encounter, so I just put an ohm meter on the switch and make sure it changes when clicked. But one of the problems with these cheap switches is sometimes you can get it to work when you manually click, but when the switch gets pressed by the door, it doesn't work. Intermittent stuff like that can drive you bonkers!
