I am watching this in 2024. So admittedly I have hindsight. But, I love it when people make predictions about text with all their chest. They are almost always wrong. Very few people use voice commands for anything. People always underestimate how powerful the phone is and everything our smartphones replaced.

Yeah, the snarky tone post-break, along with the hollow-feeling content now being provided by LTT isn't drawing me back rn IDC fold. It's really disappointing, as LTT was so helpful in me coming back into PC building, but this "new" content? Empty fluff that 500K other content providers push through. I get if the Gamer's Nexus de-pantsing made them gun-shy about more in-depth stuff (and worrying about being caught on some error); if you're going to be an established and TRUSTED go-to in this space, I'd think the first thing that you should do is "keep punching up"- softball content just makes your output carry less gravity, and instead of grabbing safe & treaded ground, maybe go back to the videos that allowed them to build their tech space

Linus is so awesome to hear from about his interview cause I had some similar situations as well In the first of places, I was at grammar school and until I went to middle school, doing as the teachers told me to do, with how to do addition, made no sense at all, they were just acting like I should get how this works already by now, just being very impatient slugs not even willing at all to teach the students with a positive attitude, my dad one day realized where all this was coming from, the school was just a bucket of non emotional or helpful at all teachers, they were not motivational at all, they deserved a lot less then their careers, rather, they deserved to lose their jobs cause they were completely and utterly disgusting, rude to the students, so it’s no wonder I came home feeling like society here is completely and utterly garbage behavior mean and ruthless adults He took me out of that middle school go to another school cause he knew that all they did was make students feel like crying, non inspirational at all, not even worried at all about the choice of their actions slime balls. I was at this middle school where at the lunch room, as soon as lunch was about to be over, a student was told to put one of these huge stacks of fliers on one of the walls beams so students can take a flier with them, I swear to god that almost no-one at all even touched a single flier apart from me, I was like, I need to grow up and have some unique skills one day, that’s the point of going to school, to find out what you can learn, unlock in your life! It was a fire report essay that needed to be hand written with 300 words in order to win a gold plaque in a glass sealed in picture frame that would say it was gifted to you by the police department and fire department for explaining how fire managing could be performed As a 13 year old though, I knew nothing about that almost at all, I looked around the library for a book that might help me write an essay, I was looked at funnily though by thd librarian cause I saw that beside the door into the library, there was this rather huge looking dictionary that said paragraphs upon paragraphs for almost ever word known to man, I was like, ok F’s, Fi.. Fir.. ok fire, it had a definition about fire if not how to prevent fires in under 300 words, it was only short of a few words to add in to make 300 Sadly, the teacher with me was smirking the whole time thinking I’m to cute for not realizing that I’m only copying off what the definition said cause we tallied up a]just under 300 words, so all I really needed to apply was just some sentence making up for what the definition said, so frankly, that’s all it needed to get 300, why they helped me while smirking the whole time, was cause I had no idea what forgery was, I copied it all down and just thought, it’s not like someone wrote this though? This is scientifically discussed between a lot of teachers and such from around the world that perfect sentences into definitions based on what they know, what they’ve taught and such, so it’s not 1 persons definition, 1 word with 300 words to make up a few sentences for is not necessary and nor is it likely bound to be written all by 1 person, cause it’ll be tiresome one day I’d bet. So I figured, no-one wrote this definitions for this few thousands of words dictionary, cause it looked like someday, someone could accidentally tell Microsoft word to delete it by accidentally using a key function improperly to erase it, so they very likely somehow got computers to write all this down, I figured, that’s a computers own input, not someone’s. So why is it even forgery, it’s ridiculously written with millions of words! So I carry it over to the table as if I’m taking a brick over to the table, cause it was the book on some crafted lectern that supposed to just be looked at apparently, no one said you couldn’t take it off the lectern to read it, but it would’ve been appropriate to just leave it there so everyone can use it I carried over what was like a 20 pounds almost dictionary and the library had only thin tables, not wide ones, so the book needed to be to the side of me while leveled on the table I was at otherwise it could just fall off the table, cause it was wider then the table itself lol So I’m in class, at some point the bell rings, everyone’s supposed to get ready to go home, luckily, I got it sent by the teacher in the mail, a few days later, right before school was over, a kid came into the class with a UPS package, he did not work for the United States Postal Service, he was to to young, so all he was is simply a helping hand delivery to classrooms student at times, kinda cute it a funny way lmao I knew right away what it was cause I was like, getting mail at school isn’t a thing, it says it’s from my states police department is all, and I couldn’t believe my eyes, it was an a picture framed with gold leaf written with thank you from the police department and fire department for your essay and understanding of how to prevent fires, when all a dictionary would say is just what it is, lmao…, a dictionary doesn’t say how to make them or how to put one out, so o was like, uh, ok? While still stunned, cause it was written o]in gold leaf on a square slab of literal onyx gem chiseled perfectly into a glass slate of 1 piece of glass like thing where you’d figure what the actual…, this is a slab of onyx, this is actually a large jewel, melted down into a square and edged up nicely to be smooth but it’s literal onyx, a big fat piece of onyx that would be to jewelers at stores think is worth like freaking thousands of dollars\ Now the other thing that happened was how I learned math all by myself, all that happened was, in the center of the school from the inside, students where going to their other classes after their first ones to have a moment of talking to others before headed to other classes and such, 1 student saw me with a piece of paper which was a multiplication table, I was counting numbers in my head and was like, oh man, what is 3x7, I don’t… let’s see 3+3 = 6, but… And at one point a kid was about to head to class, but before he did, he said oh your doing multiplication? This is all you need to know, that each number is added by itself over and over by the amount of another numbers, they didn’t help me get the answer, but I was like, oh ok, let’s see… I was at one point all done with it, the teacher said how did you even get all these right? I said I don’t even know lmao, some kid was just headed to class but said 1 thing as advice I was doing so well with what they said, that for a number of years, I was getting better at it in high school, one of the teachers was tired and said you know math to the point you can teach it, take over for a while, so I was like oh ok! But no students were getting what I was telling them, cause I was doing it like this 10 10 10 10 In order to get my answers, so while at some point, before I graduated high school, the school board said we only can’t pass them for math and have to instead flunk them for doing math their own way even though everything was right, so my dad stepped in saying, that’s illogical, if they got everything right, even from learning by self, they shouldn’t flunk my kid, rather, the school board should be ashamed that this is how strict their policies are that students will only graduate each class if doing things entirely the way the schools were told to teach students! So they while not only agreed and accepted not flunking me at all, they said now the only thing left is, your kids grades will be eligible to get them into college, now my dad wanted me to go to college, but I interrupted saying no, schools have had lots of times bullying me for being a smart student growing up and learning how to do things all on my very own, while some schools where not even remotely being nice to any students almost at all and made kids feel almost ready to cry when they were sad that all these teachers were is just neglectful and d]totally disrespectful swines, I told them, no you’ve all had your fun being my and other students hecklers, bullies and rude people, now your no longer apart of my life to let me suffer from any more of your crooked schools tormenting and chaotic ways, I’ll be happy not going to college because all you’ve done is treat my and other students terribly, so to heck won’t any college in the world that you want me to go to as you’ve ruined my faith in being happy at school!
