Do you weigh and out measurements when you’re listing the item and if so do you already know what box your putting item in? I’m assuming you estimate weight until it’s completely wrapped ready to ship

Cinnabar is a toxic mercury sulfide that the Chinese used to color lacquer. The Asian boxes you usually see are made by painting coat after coat of this cinnabar colored lacquer. When enough layers are achieved then they can carve it with various designs. It was even made during the Ming dynasty!

The most popularly known use of cinnabar is in Chinese carved lacquerware, a technique that apparently originated in the Song dynasty. Lacquerware includes small or large containers, tableware, a variety of small objects carried by people, and larger objects such as furniture and even coffins painted with lacquer. Before lacquering, the surface is sometimes painted with pictures, inlaid with shell and other materials, or carved. The lacquer can be dusted with gold or silver and given further decorative treatments.
