The inland taipan in the venomousest snake in the world!
@ellii21 сағат бұрын
Good try, but "venomous" has 3 syllables, so the superlative form is "the most venomous."
@travisking659522 сағат бұрын
The inland taipan is approximately 23 times venomouser than the Indian Cobra.
@ellii21 сағат бұрын
Good try! But "venomous" has 3 syllables, so the comparative form is "more venomous."

Do we need a specific time in simple past tense?
@elliiКүн бұрын
We do! You can say it directly (e.g., I went to the movies last night) or it can be implied from the context of the conversation. (E.g., A: What did you do last night? B: I went to the movies.)

Nonsense articles if you want to describe how many then use numbers to speak with (like 1 pencil 2 pencils,) I think english needs more simplification or modifications. Other languages don't have a or an.
@ellii3 күн бұрын
There are many other languages that have articles (e.g., French, Spanish, Italian, etc.), but languages that don't do seem easier sometimes! However, some languages have complex systems of counting words (e.g., Japanese), so that can also be tough to learn.

Can we use other modal auxiliary verbs , or we just use (would)?
@ellii3 күн бұрын
Great question! You can use some modals if the meaning is suitable. For example, we can say "If you wanted to get the best deal, you could compare prices online" to convey ability. Note that some modals, such as "should," would only work in the first or third conditional because of their present and past forms. (E.g., If you want a spot, you should book it soon. / If you had wanted a better spot, you should have booked it way earlier.)

Great example! Don't forget that singular, countable nouns take "has," not "have." "Film" also needs an article like "the" or a determiner like "this" or "that." (My friend has seen that film.)

it's clear but i didn't understand what is the difference between the present perfect and the present perfect progressive . they both used for actions that started in the past and continue in the present how can i know when i must use one of them ? teacher can you please explain this for me
@ellii7 күн бұрын
In most cases you can just use the present perfect since both tenses focus on the past to the present. Use the present perfect progressive when you want to emphasize that the action will continue into the future. If the future time is not important info (most cases), or if the action will end now or really soon, use the present perfect.
