Played it about 25 years ago. Loved the course, and the character of the shots… and that we had to walk.

Going to play there twice next month! How are the conditions? Bucket list for sure! Glad you had a nice time there!
@tomsanger6264 Жыл бұрын
@@dhurley6985 Conditions were great. Course was in fine shape. We had to play through the sea mist for about an hour so be prepared. There are some significant elevation changes as well.

Great way to see the course thanks. Flyovers are good, but I like how this video shows us the course from ground level for each ideal shot.

Great videos, no annoying music to distract and a clear view of each hole. Well done.

About 5 holes are amazing....the rest not so much. Didn't travel all that way to look at houses.
@patrickmorgan4006 Жыл бұрын
Seriously? The houses along the first 6 holes bother you to the point where you can't see how great this course is from start to finish? I don't even notice that stuff when I am there. I am too busy having the time of my life playing golf on one of the great courses in the world.
@jasonley4809 Жыл бұрын
@@patrickmorgan4006 same, didn't see the houses until I watched this video 😀

Get of the simulator and get on a plane. This course is absolutely worth the trip. Took a trip to play here and Carnoustie. Unreal experience. Sometimes we just have to stop dreaming of doing these things and just get off our butts and do it. I know that's what I did and it was completely worth it. Made it a goal now to go play some of the best courses this earth has to offer. We only have one life let's not waste it or even worse wishing it away. Make it happen.

Generally a useful video, but greenside photos don’t begin to capture nature of hazards involved in approach shots. An aerial view at the green is needed.

Great video...needs to be updated as all the trees on the back nine are gone...save the one on 15. Unfortunately no video can show how subtle the greens are. A great golf get away spot at 1/2 to a 1/3 the cost of the other WI courses that benefit from media hype by those who have never played Lawsonia......Cheers

I played Royal Dornoch in 1994. I count it as one of the great days of my golfing life. I've never seen a piece of land more naturally suited to the great game. Perfection and well worth the trip north to the Highlands.

Neat video. I'm from the USA and have played several great courses in the UK (Royal Dornoch, Royal St. George's, Cruden Bay, Hunstanton, Wallasey, Carnoustie, Old Course at St. Andrew's among them). Silloth is on my short list of courses I badly want to play. This just reinforced that desire. Greens look small and well-protected!
