Condolences Sir! As to the fishing…how about limiting the number of times a person can fish in a year? Don’t just blame it on Livescope, but also the guys that fish 250-300 days/ year. My 4,5,6 days of fishing with Livescope does very little to the population. Smaller limits are a good thing!

God bless you and your family. Our basic Louisiana limit of 50 sac a lait is way too high. 2 fishermen can take home 200 filets per day… In south Louisiana, I think the limit is so high because the great majority on fishermen can’t ever catch a limit. I’m all for more reasonable limits, especially with the popularity of Livescope. I am concerned that the ease of catching these egg laden fish during the spawn may affect the healthy population. Why keep 1 bulging female when we can release a thousand new fish? At least that’s my thought.

Instead of changing the limit just change the legal size.

Sorry for your loss! I agree I think they should just change the limit & a size range should be put in place also but that would depend on each fishery for slot sizes

I typically release 90 percent of the Crappie I catch. We set our own size limit. Anything under 13 to 12 inches goes back. Many times we keep 5 or 6 which is plenty enough for a good family meal .

I may catch a lot but I only keep about 15-20.

Great video! Just wondering if you know if it is possible to make a full circle so once I reach the end of my route I don’t have to restart it, I troll a small weedbed and it takes like 8 minutes to do a full circle and gets annoying to restart it every time, Thanks!

Condolences. You are right there on changes to limits. Have seen some people day after day taking limit crappie. more than likely go in freezer only to get freezer burnt tossed out.
@fisherofmen99412 күн бұрын
Prayers for you and the family. I'm hoping Louisiana changes limits and adds size limits on crappie/white perch. If we're honest, livescope makes it easier to locate and harvest fish. I know they are prolific breeders, but all the guides and such are a bit much.

I suggest considering parallel marine 10 gauge which has a higher capacity rather than using a single 8 gauge and easier to get heat shrink connectors better coordinated and sized for many installations. Just put the ring terminal from both 10 gauge runs under the main buss lug instead of the single ring terminal and that will double the capacity of the single 10 gauge design. 8 gauge rated 50A and parallel 10 gauge is 70A using 75 degree C conductors. Finally - I can find more uses for my leftover 10 gauge wire - easier to make connections to the smaller instrument conductors such as 18-20 gauge
