Yes you do get a nice bonus if you discover all of the plants or Animals or Minerals. (so you could get 3 nice bonus if you want to spend the time exploring) If I remember right, there are suits helmet upgrades to greatly increase the value of discoveries. You can have many upgrade pods on a planet. Also, all the stuff you pick up from "unlocking" damaged equipment, and containers, (Rust, Fecicum, goop, etc). all converts in a long chain into nanites in the converter. (although in the early game, your probably spending more fueling the converter than your making in nanites)

Apparently the Antenna's "extend the range of your tablet" They are NOT radar, so you don't have extended map visibility. It appears they are used to extend the range of operating remotely operated vehicles, i.e. drones (and rovers?)

16:10 The elevator at the crash site is not working because the circuit board is broken. You need electricity and a new circuit board. Broken circuit boards can be repaired at the workbench.

O, another thing. I used to buy an S rank scanner. Scanning stuff Will make you tons of credits in the long run. Not sure if that is still viable.

Hmm been awhile, but I am pretty sure you can get free expansion spaces on you Ship, or suit, or multitool at each new station. But I have not seen the new stations either with the new layout, so don't know where anything is. [21:02] If you fly higher first, the trip will be faster. It can be shortened to 10-15 seconds or less. (Unless you want to look at the ground to watch for points of interest.) Each chrashed freighter has 6 cargo pods. They are always in the same location. So if you remember the pattern it makes it easier to get them all.

11:53 If you find a hill like this one, it probably has an entrance to a cave where you can find uranium and alien egs. Uranium is needed to build a nuclear reactor. There are caves inside Mount Olympus where is a lot of uranium. Uranium can be found, also in rock. The uranium update in the game may have changed where uranium can be found. Uranium stones are rare and worth collecting. Uranium can also be found in meteor craters. Uranium radiates and is dangerous without a protective suit. With the protective suit, you can go into the blasted nuclear reactor at the starting base. The beeping sound is heard, but it no longer kills you. You need uranium to build nuclear reactors. After nuclear reactors, you don't need solar panels anymore and power remains constantly on.

You just got the key item to start the grand finale mission that gives you the most ridiculous item in the game and also explains the whole lore.

Yes, you could have had a hover bike built in the first 5 minutes. Fuel tank is in the vehicles drop down menu, same as it's cargo containers. Swamp plants make medicine. Food processors make advanced food and meds. Talon missions are probably a bust this playthrough... PDA manages quests. Theres more to do. Build fridge for your hover thing. You didn't drown because suit 02 comes full. Press j to activate jump pack. Blueprints for vehicles you wanna make, will tell you what parts to unlock. Find a cheap SV miner and work towards that.

The replenishment value of the well must be divided by 6 if you intend to maximize the water production of the water point. Example 55 / 6 = 9.16 and then 10 wells is the maximum. If the water runs out, you have to connect several water points together. Building new wells at different water points takes a lot of time. The distance between water points can be about one kilometer. Corn takes the most water. The number of wells is usually 10 to 15. I put 5 wells in a row and make 3 rows if I build 15 wells.

Thoroughly enjoyed the series. Watching this series, got me to play the game again. Got it when it first came out (3-4 years ago?) but got frustrated and quit after a few hours. Never even looked at it again until I saw you playing. I loved every minute of the series. Thanks a bunches.

Your shuttle is still on the Unidentified Satellite. You can go to any activated Gate on the surface to Teleport to the activated Core of the planet. THEN use the activated core to go to the Unidentified Satellite (if you have placed its triptick(sp?) on the Unidentified Satellite. (Which you have now done.) Its a another way to teleport between different planets. (Although it is convoluted and time consuming.) But when you go the reverse (From the Unidentified Satellite to a planet core, then to a surface gate) Trying to figure out Which surface gate is near you landing zone on each planet is a case of enie-menie-minie-moe. 🤔 Unless you plan ahead and for instance always place the landing zone near a specific surface gate (like the North Pole) 🧐

Re; Mining a planet completely..... Probably Not possible. Every deformation of the planets/moons is recorded in the save file... When you start massively modifying a planet you save file gets very big and the game starts lagging. Eventually the game can crash. I have seen a couple videos of someone a couple years ago putting tens of thousands(?) of dynamite in a big hole on a moon and setting it off. I think it wiped out a third of the moon?

You could have used the landing pad to summon your oxygen pet instead of using tethers

Nice new suit, Press L for light and J for jump pack. STATS tab beside suit constructor tab has the conditions icon you CAN check with your mouse. Atmospheric Condenser makes water and 02 but takes fuel. Hydration isn't a survival stat, so water just effects food meter or some status effects. Trees are broken down to plant fiber. Harvesting resources inside Talon territory damages reputation.

To capture neutral buildings or ships you need to place CORE in them and to make it neutral you need to destroy the CORE

Each greenhouse and Dome needs its own composter. There is a place for a composter on the back wall of the greenhouse. The food processing machine also fits in the greenhouse.

[24:40] Pretty sure that plant you liked the looks of, was harvestable for seeds. [25:35] so you could plant the seeds on the surface. I have been collecting various different seeds from plants and on Silva, been making a small "garden" of the different plants I have found. (Nothing fancy, just rows of the different plant.)

Umm, You will Always be right above the core on the radar, when the core is visible on the radar... Gravity means it will always be directly below you... I do like your trick of positioning a surface Gate near you on the surface, so you can see how far you drift around the planet trying to dig to the core, and can reverse direction so you don't dig around the core. Which is very possible on the 2 moons cause they are so small. (yeah I did that.) Doh! You know the old kids game "Jacks"? played with about 10 jacks and a ball. The core is shaped like those old Jacks, with a "point aimed at each surface gate. (I guess its also called Knucklebones)

Great game. I haven't tried the update yet but Will do. One can sink countless hours into it.

Not positive (haven't played the game) but I think there is a 3rd level of grinder, so you will be able to grind more of these bases. So I would not mark them as "Done" yet. Maybe "Ground L2" instead.

A Fun game, I played the heck out of it too. Had a pretty maxed out ship and multitool and suit, got a freighter, and was doing the NPC pilot missions, and enjoying it. (Pretty sure I had well 700-800 Gek words, and around 500 of the other two Kovack and Vy'king?) Founded a colony? But had a problem, I either left it alone for to long, or it bugged out, because it went horribly negative on finances or moral(?) I think) Looks like its been about 8 months since I played it. (stopped around Christmas. Probably got a new game and started playing it, and did not return to NMS)

Oops! I always thought you stood a little close to the dynamite... I always run a few steps away. I wonder if you were at a safe distance, BUT you dynamite in your backpack chained re-actioned and blew up. Hmm I think I will play around and try to set off dynamite chains and see some action. 😁 Re: Research... Just from my completionist tendencies, I always grab research items (and open the white pyramid boxes that I see) and do research. (I only ever set up one of those Auto research chains on Sylvia, after seeing you set one up, just to try it out) The Extra Large C platform can hold a Research Chamber and 6 Research items) The end result is I have just over 600,000 research points. :D

EDIT: Ahh, I see you did use a packager. 👍 When your going to hoof it, or use the skateboard, you need to take the Gastropod "Princess" (Immune to injury) combined with the Oxygenator, you cant die. 😜 Each of the probes has its own sound pattern.

You can use the printer to make more cement from calcium ore. You just need to drill calcium ore from rocks.

Looks like the Mars Truck (and probably the ATVs are indestructible. Pretty sure you rolled the truck. But you might get injured if you rolled an ATV.

Yeah when I circumnavigated Glascio getting the Gates, I would collect all the Blue Freight modules and shredded them (3 scrap each I think). Unfortunately I could not automate it, so had to do it manually, but filled a couple large recourse containers (400 scrap each) in the process. 😀
