I bought my tisas 1911a1 service A bit more than a year ago. Of general note mine came with a flat mainspring housing. Unfortunately I have only had the time for a couple of range sessions with it, And on each occasion I have had a stoppage due to The firing pin retaining plate I becoming dislodged and sliding down halfway out of place, Resulting in the slide not being able to return to battery. I suspect That the slide trying to go back into battery is what locked the plate halfway down Or it probably would have come completely out. Waiting for an answer from the folks in Tennessee.

I have an older Dickson Cheyenne 38 special and while taking it apart to clean my trigger spring broke off and i cannot find a video on how to fix it! Or install it. It looked like it rested where the hammer strikes the bullets and fed into the trigger. I was able to put it together but the trigger spring is missing so now the hammer does not work and my cylinder will not rotate at all because a small spring fell out.

Just found your video on this and I made up a few to test for ignition. Do you see a lot of sparks/blast from around the outside of the primer? It must build up pressure trying to get thru the nipple and leak around the piece of hose. Does a cap do the same? First time using the BP cylinder with my Remington as I usually use 45 Colt conversion cylinder.

How do you adjust the peep aperature? I assumed you would need different inserts but my rifle didn't come with extra inserts and none seem to be available from Rossi (?).

It has four safeties. A manual safety, manual firing pin block safety, mag disconnect safety, and mag release safety. I temporarily disabled two of them so it more or less is like any standard pistol. But I can restore them if I need to send it in under warranty. There is a lifetime warranty and the parts are cheap. This pistol is rated for standard velocity ammo only as stated in the owner manual. A steady diet of high velocity ammo runs the risk of cracking the slide or frame. I almost exclusively shoot CCI standard velocity and Federal Auto Match bulk pack in mine. The recoil spring should be changed with a new one after every 1000 rounds or the slide and frame could be cracked by the weakened spring. The recoil spring five pack is cheap so change it. I think that works very well with the 500 and 550 CCI small pistol primers! And I think it would fire every primer if you would drill a small hole in the hammer and add a small fireing pin made from bicycle spoke cut down short with no more three thirty seconds long protruding and rounded off on the point. This will make sure the anvil in the primer sets off the primer first time it's hit and every time you drop the hammer! Thanks for your great video and knowledge on the tubing and pistol primers. Those pistol primers will have better ignition than percussion caps and be more resistant to water and humidity.

Several years ago I purchased 3 like new 4006 TSW CHP model. They are one of my off body carry pistol. My other on and off body is 1911 commander with a rail. I have trained many years with S&W 4516, 4566, 4513 TSW and 4006 TSW CHP and of course the 1911 Love the 4006 TSW and purchased 30 like new mags. Ricky from IBM
