I am sorry to bother you with more questions lol Would it be okay to start a 5 year old with First steps? We have just worked a little with letters and little with sounds and actually also a little with math. I was just introducing a bit of those things and then was thinking about starting CLE Kindergarten first and then CLE math 1 after that. CLE starts more around ages 6-7. Again, I am sorry to bother you with more questions I asked you another question on a different video lol

Thank you for replying so quickly! Wow! That speak volumes then to the curriculum! We are using Five in a Row and love it! I also love the way this looks and love the Biblical aspect so much! Would it be too much to do both? We already do have a language arts/grammar so may not use that part, but not sure! Any advice would be wonderful!

I made the mistake of only buying the workbooks, not the activity books or teacher guide. Halfway through Book 3 we went back to start over, using the full program. It's so much richer!

I feel that inference and comparison are higher level orders of thinking. If the kids cannot do this it’s probably because, as you’ve been saying, they’ve been taught to just hunt and find answers in the text that is given vs. how to engage with the text and to make inferences. All good higher level thinking processes. Would you say that the material is at all challenging and do you believe the questions are good questions, regardless? Thanks.
@EducationalRootsАй бұрын
Some are and some aren’t. I feel like the content of the books is good, the activities are great, but the questions sometimes seem very random or focused on very specific things that don’t really matter.
