Most of the old ones are better... however there are some in OW2 that I'd say show the personality better or are at least more interesting... Symmetra, Sombra, Roadhog, Junkrat (is a bit weird tho wtf), Lucio, Mei?, Zenyatta But I think they ruined Widow, Echo, Dva, Cassidy, Moira, Mercy, HANZO BIG TIME, like They just kinda all do similar soft motions and ambigious movements, the first OW animations generally were made very very distinct from eachother on purpose and one last thing It's REALLY important that something quick happens the moment you click the hero to give you that good feedback of your action having an immediate effect - a lot of the new animations might be 'pretty' but you have to wait until you realize what it is about and switching between characters doesn't give you the same satisfaction as it did before. I think this is very important and quite evidently not considered. While I'm at it imma say the old drawn/painted comic book style portraits were amazing and cool af and the new ones that are rendered from the 3D models look so bland and boring it's unrecognizeable.
