No, he didn’t have four hands. They ran the roll through twice to achieve that thick texture, and also why the tempo is so metronomic (unwavering.)

I have a strong feeling they were the best thing in this show of flesh and beauty I don't think it was a biography of mother Teresa

Even the cheesy setup, their grace, artistry and athleticism shine though.

Utterly surprising (I thought I'd seen all the Nicholas Brothers routines!) and amazing, of course. I've just found a film - "Carolina Blues" (1944) - with Harold Nicholas dancing without Fayard in an amazing number called "Mr. BB". Ned Sparks, if you're interested I can track it for you…

Tin Pan Alley is one of my top favorite musicals...fast moving and funny. Getting Billy Gilbert up on his feet as "Baghdad Daddy" is fun. However, the oddly diapered Nicholas Brothers didn't enjoy their finest hour. Alice & Betty's hula really cooks,

Thankyou for saving this great old TV spot on the Bay Area theatre organs. Rekindles great memories of that exciting night in the 1980s when I heard the legendary George Wright play his concert at the Oakland Paramount! What a thrill that was!!
