Helpful! Planning on working on it myself, just recently replaced the entire radiator. I am very surprised how relatively easy such repairs are for E60, unlike anything electric 😂.

Looking at doing this myself, are you sure they are f80 tension struts? They should be longer and push the wheel back to correct the castor somewhat.
@BryceBrown1Ай бұрын
They did come as a full set, and are definitely different to the stock tension arms. I've heard contrary to them being the solution also... hopefully the adjustable bushes will remedy, and they'll be fitted to the stock tension arms too. Watch this space... and part two here. I installed the PS5's on my Mini Cooper SE a month ago. I have been very happy with the performance and handling. They are very quiet which is great for a EV. Great wet weather traction.

Very nice car. Mine is a E60. My pilot sport 4 lasted only 19K kms before they developed 3mm radial runout. They wore unevenly and only tire geeks could diagnose the defect. I have Primacy 4+ on my other car and they last a long time and are smoother than the PS4 yet less gripier and less sportier.

My E31 was bought of Southern Chrysler in Melbourne. The mechanics enjoyed servicing at their workshop and one mechanic a Kiwi bloke from Todd's in Auckland had my suspension handling really well and the 2 barrel engine set up to racing performance that clutches didn't last for more than 6 months but apart from that and an inadequate 3 speed manual box went really well and braking was superb

So you need the map and the licence? Sounds expensive.
@BryceBrown13 ай бұрын
It's not bad really, considering you have control over tuning it yourself and can get it to shift exactly how you want it. If you pay someone to do it, that's probably what you'll be stuck with. You can transfer the license and map to your next BMW, providing It's the same transmission. Otherwise you can transfer the license (there's a limit I think) and buy a new map if you uninstall from your previous vehicle. Definitely a mod worth the money.

Put PS5s on to replace factory MPSS which were great in the dry but not cold+damp. Immediately regretted it as opposed to GY AS6 (was warned that the GY AS6 aquaplaning resistance was lower than the PS5s), because IMO the PS5 feels more of a touring tyre compared to MPSS. Only got about 20k miles out of the rears now have GY AS6s on and it's night and day! Can't wait for the fronts to wear so I can put GY on the fronts as well.

Sadly from 2027 onwards, driving a combustion engine will no longer be permitted outside of work and delivery journeys. The Federal Transport Tourism Emission Restriction Ordinance TEBBVO was also announced....is intended to remove all combustion engines commercial vehicles, construction machinery, agricultural machinery and even inland waterway vessels from the roads/waterways by 2035. Buses in cities (and all taxis) must be completely converted to electric drive by 2026 (EU regulation!)! That will be funny! Have you ever read Berlin leaks? It takes your shoes off! They're basically planning to demobilize under the guise of a campaign against "fun using fossil drive energy" in road traffic... the SOKO Autoposer is supposed to hunt down all fun fossil drivers in the future! This will be a STVO Stasi with BABVVO monitoring apps as a helper for controlling exhaust gas emissions.
