The old smokey engine, (Jupiter style), was the one I gave my dad one year for fathers day. He loved it! later I gave him another one by new bright with tracks and all, he loved that one even more! I had a train set kind of like this one at some point as kid, but it did not fair well. I think it lasted till the day after Christmas and then gave up the ghost, lol! It's amazing that you found this in such a good shape! In defense of all cheap train sets I say this: some of them can be quite nice and work quite well if treated right. Thanks for sharing!

I saw them in 2022! They definitely have moved some things around; the bike and the smashed-up car were not in those positions before. The KITT with his scanner working was indeed screen used, only in the fourth season as the convertible version. The KITT who's scanner isn't working (which is sad, I remember it working when I was there) was not a screen-used car but was built specifically for David Hasselholf to take on tour, mostly in Germany! That museum is great, would love to return some day. Hope you like it!

I had that same set. I could have sworn mine was all Vinyl covered but yeah the accessories long survived the building itself. I remember using the gas pumps with another garage playset because even as a kid it kind of bothered me that they came with the set as I never recalled the Sears Auto Centers in real life selling gas.

You may be interested to know that when Flint cleaned out his storage in 2020, there was more to this show than anyone knew about. Much like Transformers The Movie, Ron Friedman did the initial development and had two attempts at writing a 15 segment outline, both of which were complete messes. The project was taken off him and given to Flint, who only kept the drivers' names, but otherwise completely started over on his own 9 segment outline.

I had . The figure 8 Stromberg slot car set. AURORA WAS ADVERTISED ON T.V. BUT I NEVER HAD AURORA. ONE OF THE CHILDREN I GREW UP WITH HAD A MIRROR SHINE PURPLE AURORA XKE JAG. THE STRIMBERG WAS A BEAUTIVUL LITTLE SLOT CAR SET WITH HAT C HET HEAD CONTROLERS. WE USED VASELINE TO LUBE THE GEARS ON THE CHAPPREL AND JAGUAR CARS IN MY SET. THE CHROME WIRE WHEEKS WERE BEAUTIFUL. THOSE WERE THE DAYS!😅

Wait, so like, Bigfoot is just the one truck? I thought you Americans just like, had a thousand of those big trucks laying around.
@HennersАй бұрын
Bigfoot is the name of the first monster truck. Some countries have just called all monster trucks “Bigfoot trucks” but Bigfoot is a specific truck made by Bob Chandler (the company he founded has made over 20 Bigfoot branded trucks since the late 70s)

There's a big slot car store where I live it's awesome. It's on route 11 in Bloomsburg I forgot the name of it. In Pennsylvania. You can basically get anything you want. 👍👍👍. They have drag racing tournaments it's so cool. In other races set up in that whole story it's like really neat. 👍❤️.

Now I remember why I forgot watching it as a child. Oh boy it was pretty bad, and when you back at some of the cartoons back then, there were a handful of others that were even worse. That would be a cool feature one day...all the 80's cartoons that failed. But aside from the failures, you really detailed everything about the cartoon with facts I bet many didn't know about. Amazing!!! 😎

Awesome look into the history of this obscure monster truck cartoon. Maybe it's just me, but I find those tasteless innuendos hilarious. And the fountain of youth being in Florida 😘. I would've been too young to catch it in 1985, if it even aired in Canada. We did have Jem in the 80s, so it's possible. I love anything Flint Dille or Wally Burr has done, both of them are characters. Going to give my signed copy of Dan Gilvezan's book another read after I binge the BigFoot cartoon!

I had the big o track when I was younger. It was a blast. Thank you for sharing this video. I think I may have to get back into the sizzlers. I have a lot of orange track with the curves. All I need is some cars and the juice box. 🏎🏎 I am very heavy into slot cars Ho/ 1/32 scale.
