As a parent of 2 kids with developmental disabilities, I don't think OP is the AH. If he's tried everything and there are systems in place to help, then that may be for the best. Paul needs more support than OP can give him, and that's unfortunate, but it is what it is. Paul will probably be better off in his new home, and that's better for everyone.

Im not autistic but ive known plenty of people who are to tell the difference between whether the parents are enablers or not, i have a friend who is autistic, hes normal except he talks alot and doesnt realize when hes interrupting (i have a sinilar issue tho) i have another friend whos normal for the most part but is easily pissed, my sister says shes autistic and shes completely fine, then theres my little cousin just a year younger than me who gets really emotional quick, being easily excited, mad, sad, whatever, and shes abit crazy. This is how i know my aunt enabled this.
