I don't understand how Volvo could make the back seat THAT tight.. If the car was just say 30mm longer much bigger people would fit. But maybe it's the platform it's built on that is a fixed length?

Great review…coming from a happy owner of this car, for 5.000 km now. Highway range is around 350km in 20 degrees celcius - so spot on. A really nice car for a couple, without kids, unless you need a lot of trunk space. No need for buttons or HUD. It works really nicely without it. Takes maybe a day or two to adapt. So relaxed to drive - nice seats, and minimalistic in a cool way, which is something we Scandinavians appreciate. Greetings from 🇩🇰

I have an Ioniq 5 and it also tends to drift when making sharper turns on secondary roads with ACC + lane centering on. Just wondering if other cars e.g. iX1 or Model 3 also have this issue on secondary roads? I saw you also tested their driving assist functions, but did not mention about performance on secondary roads. Thanks.

You can actually filter the charging results for route planing in google maps on the Volvo. So you can specify for example to only use chargers over 150kw or from a specific provider :)

This car is giving me opposite impressions. It has nice exterior and interior design, nice wheels and it's Volvo ) But all these nonsense like check the speed - get the notification "watch the road" due to central oriented everything packed in one screen, it's just garbage promote by sales like "you will get used to it". I didn't know that some trims of EX30 can have a solid roof. Great, great to see some EVs still can provide a customer with a roof ) Here my like is mainly because of Volvo (with all its unsafe nonsense) and your way to make the review (big plus for real conditions like using climate). P.S. By the way I just thought the most of reviews are made in daylight and it is interesting, how much the headlights usage on EV can affect the range ) P.P.S. Google says "Lighting systems, whether that's fog lights, brake lights or headlights, use a tiny amount of energy in the grand scheme of things - equal to just 0.2 miles per hour".. Sounding not bad )

I don’t really understand the point you’re trying to make about the Auto AC. BMW always had different levels of ventilation strength to choose from in AUTO AC, that is the horizontal control and it cannot be used to turn AC off because it’s just going down to the lowest AUTO ventilation, while in manual mode you can turn it off.

I have 2 question about this First: Does it work with older huawei inverters? Second: Can you combine a Luna S0 and Luna S1 together
@TotallyElectric
@TotallyElectric Ай бұрын
Well, that depends a bit upon how old your inverter actually is. If it’s an L1 that works with the previous generation of Luna batteries it will also work with this new generation of the Luna S1. however, if your inverter is the older L0, which are not compatible with the older batteries either they will not work with this battery either. No, you cannot makes Luna S0 and S1 batteries in the same installation

Hi Lars, many thanks for the video about the eDrive 20. I’m currently having a struggle in the choice for a new business lease EV, and I’ve narrowed my shortlist back to either the BMW ix1 or the Tesla Y. And i’m finding it impossible to compare both of these cars.. but how do you think they compare to each other? Specially the MY long range and the entry-level ix1 since we have a limited budget.. Regarding my choice a few things are important to find in a new car, reasonable range, enough space for a family with 3 kids and a comfortable ride. Test driving the BMW next week, so I’m curious about that experience!
@TotallyElectric
@TotallyElectric Ай бұрын
The Model Y is the bigger of the two cars. If you want to BMW to compare to it, it should be the IX3. In my opinion a big difference will be in the interfaces on the inside of the car. Where the Tesla prioritizes minimalism the BMW is more of a traditional car interface.

vis the Capri vs Mustang vibe , a "Capri" was sold in North America; from ~70-77 the European Capri with 4-cyl and and Cologne V6 engines. From ~79-86 a variant of the then-current Fox body Mustang. Around 2000 there was a two seater convertible from Ford Australia based on a FWD Mazda platform sold for just a couple of years.

Stop with the vertical/portrait central cabin display orientation. Get a clue, Ford. The landscape/portrait car display design is a settled argument. The windscreen, dash, cabin and our eyes are all set up horizontally. A large landscape display flows with how the world is. At a glance vertical even looks wrong. Phones are typically held in portrait as they are, like other objects, easier to hold in this orientation. The only argument to be made is a vertical screen is that it is easier to reach, but this is nonsense as landscape displays are easy to reach too, and are much more usable in a cabin for content and act like a second windscreen viewing space. A vertical display is the wrong design trade-off entirely. Volvo are now releasing a new car with a landscape display, finally. Hopefully Volvo are stating to get the message. Wake up, Ford.

I don't like most noses on electric cars. Too high, blunt shaped, boring. Apparently, the designers are horrified by the thought of an actual front grille, even if it serves no real purpose and has a solid plate just behind it. E.g. the printed "grille" on some BMW's is just so ugly. It makes them look like toy cars or mockups of some kind. By the way: never ever seen a "blue oval" charging point...🤔
