I aint k ow wby this record was changing my life, just knew NOTHING ever sounded this good. My band director played several instruments. Bass was one. Louis Joshnson and Benard Edwards were his heroes. Had both their styles on lock!

2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

I grew up on the classic rock of the late ‘60’s and ‘70’s, and like so many, heard Wayne Shorter for the first time on Aja, but even with my untrained ear for horns, even if I’d only heard this and Aja, I think I’d have made the connection that it was the same player. That sax solo on Aja is a joy to listen to still, and if I recall, Walter and Donald played the track for him once, then he played the take.

Angela Bofill may you rest in Harmony and in Melody. I was a college student at DILLARD UNIVERSITY (late 70's) when I saw you perform, at a bar by the name of Ole Man Rivers in New Orleans across the river. You were GREAT!!!!

LADYS & GENTLEMEN..., remember when this beautiful music was ALL OVER the airwaves?! Evil has truly taken us in a dark direction. Sxy Red.., Young Thug.., Ice Spice. Poison has taken so many of our childrens minds and ears.., and lets not pretend we don't know who pushes so called, 'Artists', to go in that direction. The great dissemblers.., the Great Gaslighters of the world. Reject them at all costs and return to the wholesome.

Its interesting. Has it's moments. The musicians are really good. Its not as exciting as Santana or Return to Forever or John McLaughlin and Mahavishnu stuff. It's "Jazz isn't dead, it just smells funny". stuff. Kinda boring. Kinda "Sausage Fest" stuff lots of 'Dudes' watching probably musicians of a like mind who happen to like lots of notes over obscure chord changes to. I liked Weather Report better.

I was in college in 1980s and Angela Bofill was popular here in Philippines. I remember her powerful voice and her songs often played on our radio. She had a duet with Sharon Cuneta a popular singer here. She had several concerts here. Thank you Ms Bofill for making your Filipino fans happy. Rest in peace.
