Concentration is the only game I remember playing but I think I recognized seeing a few of the others. I had the Cootie game which I only used to make the bugs not play the game. Enjoyed the video. Thanks.

well you're comparing bulk vinegar to ready to use, pre mixed roundup. bulk generic glyphosate is much much cheaper. the other issue is that you only look at the short term progress...but ultimately, you want the plant to die, not just look sick and come back. glyphosate can take 2 weeks to show progress.

I ran mine sitting on a tabletop. In the morning the area under the Dynatrap had as many bugs as the catch container. The smaller bugs can simply escape out the slits in the bottom of the container. I even put some screen over the slits which reduced the escapees but it seems like 50% of the smaller bugs simply drop out the bottom anyway?

This standard home-made solution for weeds only kills top foliage - not roots. Very short term success. Plus if you apply it heavily to a very thick patch - or somewhere with mulch that will also absorb the mixture -- that area will stink like vinegar for a LONG time. Hard pass for me!

Most entertaining Tom, and at last I know what Bon Ami is - I heard Click and Clack talk about it on Car Talk years ago but never knew. But the Tricky Dogs I knew. Here they're more often ladybirds (ladybugs). As a child I saw a wonderful window display of dozens of different types all twitching and dancing by some clever invisible mechanism. It's one of my earliest memories. Cheers mate, that was very enjoyable.

When it rains, the sodium from the salt will drain over to your grass and kill/sicken it permanently also. 😆 Use a roofing torch instead and burn the weeds... the heat will kill the roots also.

Unless you can easily get to the battery it is probably sealed in and cannot be replaced easily. Probably better to get a new one.

I do beleieve if you worked with it differently then there could have been varying levels of quality finishes from those different methods, but what I do not beleive at all is that these products will ever come anywhere close to knowing how to stain and simply staining and using top coat of choice. I really dont like grain sealed wood a lot of the time, though if one goes to 500 grit and cuts poly in half with mineral spirits, doing several coats, you can get an extremely clear shiney epoxy look that looks really good without stain. If I am working with oil stain I like to fully remove anything that hides grain patterns. Stain shouldnt be paint, it should go on in a way where it changes the color of the wood without hiding the grian pattern, to me... and I do beleive if you hide the grian pattern you are now painting the wood. I tried polyshades recently, and just like every other stain and poly combo I have been dumb enough to try, I realized its just not good enough for my standards.

I used in the last week just regular white vinegar you can pick up at Walmart or any store to find out if it works. It works well and it CHEAP. You may need to reapply in some areas, but not a big deal. A gallon of white vinegar is about $3.50.
