What is this doing? I imagine that acts like a heat sink while keeping the blades perfect? Are you doing that rather than oil quenching?

I'm not sure as I've never seen the process, only read some things, but i believe this is a plate quench.

Just got the Arizona Copper and its badass. Only con is the sheath. When i got the detent right, which wasn't bad, the knife rocks back and forth. Not bad enough to really matter but this knife looks so good it deserves a custom leather sheath anyway.

I have Cooper Canyon MagnaCut and fit and finish on handle scales is very bad. Not symetric, not perfection. I had to make it perfect my own. Took extra fine sand paper and make it smooth without hot spots and kept focus on details. Please make it better. Other companies have a lot better quality control for knives in same price. Thanks 🇨🇿

i bought one small knife from them was so soft and one side was very convex the other hollowed , after getting something like that i want even bother with them

Fit and finish made me sad. I bought your Cooper Canyon for 431,- euro and fit and finish on the handle was very bad. Not perfect. Not good details work. Not good for that price. Other companies have better quality control. I am sorry to say that, but it is true. If Iam american, I send you the knife back, but from Czech Republic not good to do it, so I helped my self, bought extra fine sand paper and hand made it to be perfect.

@@dawsonknives both scales was not the same in details. Not symetrical. Specialy on the back of the handle and on both sides on parts for fingers. I had to make it perfect by my self with extra fine sand paper. Please keep your eyes on details, symetric on both sides from all wiews and angles.

Dude these are so sick it's like a childhood dream come true . I'm so stupid close to getting either a 13 or 16 inch. I wanted a Copper finish with blue G10 but none available right now , I might settle on the black finish red g10 handles

I just ordered this shepherd xl from knife center in Arizona copper and blue g10! I'm so excited. I already have a chief model from Blade hq. I'm watching every dawson knives video on KZfaq to satisfy me while I wait lol. I like this full kydex sheath much more than the hybrid kydex+leather one.

I agree it's a great super steel. However I don't count any super steel being a great bugout knife. All knives get dulled. Super steel isn't field friendly for sharpening, requires extra gear to pack. I'll stay 1095 and 14c28n. Great video thanks.

I recently obtained an outcast, it is very nice. Everyone I have showed it to has been very impressed with the quality as well. Will be using mine as a multipurpose EDC.
