Thank you so much for this! I'm just starting to venture into art journaling and have a brand new beautiful art journal that I'm hesitant to use to make "bad" art and ruin it as I try something I've never done before. I completely forgot I can use old books as an art journal. I bought a bunch from Goodwill a while back to use their covers for handmade journals. I'm so excited to realize I can use these $1 books and experiment and play, let go of perfectionism (hopefully) and give myself permission to make ugly art without fear of ruining an expensive art journal book with good quality paper. I personally love your adding the girl and quotes. I look forward to having some extra funds soon to spend in your shop! 🙋‍♀️💖

Dear Barbara, thank you for your comment! I also found that the materials which costs more are harder to use, especially papers or brushes :) Beleive in yourself, don't overthink the process too much, but if you feel more comfortable with starting with old books, do it! They are so cool to work with, they have plenty of charms, even though they take more preparation :) I am sure you are going to love it! Big hugs! 😘

Wow😮 simplicity is always best, most artists forget why they started painting and end up looking at art as a chour, and forget the fun part, art shouldn't be stressful, but watching your channel has made me remind myself why i paint, oh have you tried shaving foam in similar way ? Realy good fun 😊

Catch up.....After watching this,I decided to have a play,I kind of enjoyed using them,but don't think it's my thing,so probably never use again.Your video helped understanding them better.Just not for me.I Would love a video playing with chalk pastels,as another purchas I made but never use 😅😊

Dear Nikki, pastels are not really my thing also :) I try them and I understood how they work and I am sure I will use them again as I love the blending effect, but chalk pastels, hmmm... I used soft ones once and I am not sure I did them any justice :) Maybe one day ;) 😘

Amazing page as always,You always create beautiful pages,even when its a new medium 😍Thankyou So much for this tutorial, I have oil pastels,but,because I don't know how they work properly, I tend to stay away,Never know if have to use special paper,What ink works to stamp on top etc,This video was a great help,Thankyou ❤

I haven't used taht many alcohol markers, but these are truly my fav. But I do understand- every one of us has their favorites for our own reasons and I respect that. It is what makes us all unique! Big hugs! 😘

I am sorry, I can't; They are over 10 years old, I bought them in my local discount shop and there is no brand on them, so I think they were some cheap rub ons.

Love the blue inks!! And the pet washi is fabulous ❤❤❤. You can remove the backing from the pet washi with a large pin. Just lay the washi upside down on your table, with the back towards you. And then use a pin in one corner to try and lift up the backing. It usually works within a few tries!

Try using a cutting mat such as a self healing mat that seamstresses, quilters use. Maybe find where they sell sewing goods and bolts of fabric. Olfa is the brand I have
