I know this is a really old vid ,but did they count her time? I was just wondering since she kind of broke pattern going home since she went outside of the 2nd barrel...

Well trained horse with a few years of racing behind him/her, that horse knew what to do, impressive. Thank god the reins didn't get caught.
@hopegracecowgirlfaith29638 жыл бұрын
it's not a actual pattern since her horse went in between the barrel and the fence in the way home, but she handled it amazingly. I would've passed out if that happened to me 😂
@mgillespiegmail.commakayla59038 жыл бұрын
wow! your horse really knows the pattern.😮

I like the fact that even though she lost her reins, the horse knew the pattern and kept going. that's impressive!
@XxBigDAWG22xX8 жыл бұрын
Any high class barrel horse can do that and a lot of them would have probably even took the third barrel tighter and been around 14.6 seconds. Not bad by no means but depending on the horse they can make that even better with no reins.

This si a barrel racer who knows what they are doing. They have a bond with their horse. It would be a pleasure to meet this girl unlike the people who jab their horses with spurs and whip them.
@crystalarthur96698 жыл бұрын
Most people tend to whip their horses because, they slow down way before the eyes which then causes then to get a slower time and lose points. Same thing for spurs. Hope that clears it up.

Butthole Licker yes, but as long as you don't kick the shit out of horse horse or whip them a bunch i think personally its fine

im a little confused why they are telling her to "watch the gait" when shes on a horse thats going at full speed without reins and she cant stop, maybe someone of should went out there and helped her by trying to stop her horse
@ltltwister9 жыл бұрын
Jadeand Nick They were not telling HER (the rider) to watch the gate, they were telling the people in the warm up area that is located just beyond the entrance/exit alleyway (gate). There is no way in God's green earth anyone would have been safe trying to stop her horse. It wasn't like she was in any danger, she was just fine in the saddle and she knew DJ (her horse) would stop as soon as he was through the gate, which he did. The people were just yelling to warn the riders in the warm up area that a horse was coming back there full speed. :) Hope that clears up any confusion.

@XxBigDAWG22xX8 жыл бұрын
If your barrel racing you have spend so much time on a horse that you know it just like walking. All finished barrel horses should be able to run a complete pattern but some horses wouldn't have taken barrel 3 as wide and would have still ran a 14.6 or 14.7 there.

Keaghen, thank you for watching and for your comment. No, he sure didn't get it too muddy. It was a birthday present, so he takes really good care of it. He doesn't like to get it too dirty because he washes it every time after he rides. And I edited out the part when he almost got stuck. LOL

What an awesome horse! Sure he broke the pattern but wow that second barrel with no reins! PLUS the fact that you stayed on! Looks like a very quick horse and made lots of quick dodges at the end! NICE riding!

You can seriously tell either how amazing of a rider you are or how amazing of a horse this is. Obviously it's a combination of the both of you here! Also, were there any injuries to either of you? I hope not! And this is seriously amazing that your horse kept listening and that you stuck it throuh!(:

i just got a new horse and his name is Dirt he is an amazing barrel racer the only problem is, he gets himslef to worked up and he tries to go to fast and when he turns his hoofs slid ut from under him and on the way back he bucks so i still need some work whith him but he is so good other than that and that horse and rider have an amazing bond never loose that...ok.

Lol only reason is cuz that horse has done barrels and only barrels. He didn't know why the rider stopped giving him commands but heck he's doin barrels so he continued doing them. Around that third barrel he realized he was "free". Well done!

No injuries, Holli. There was a warm up arena at the exit, so the horse stopped on its own. :)
@SonicStorm1211 жыл бұрын
That was awesome. If only the horse wouldn't have broken the pattern coming out of that last turn, that run would've been smoking! Still awesome regardless. Wonder if my horse would do that in poles if I lost the riens. xD
@hollijones740511 жыл бұрын
Such a connection between horse and rider! I have/ride horses and I can tell when a rider has worked with their horse! Bravo to the rider for sticking it out! Might I ask what happened after the arena exit? I hope there weren't any injuries!
