Jacqueline Du Pre is the great musical prodigy she is for any musical piece. Jacqueline's genius makes Brahms' sonata vibrate , and enter one's heart to stay there for good. I knew nothing about this sonata, but Jacqueline's out-of-this-world rendering made me fall in love with it.

In my own humble opinion, the best cellist ever, he makes the cello speak in a way that others can only dream of doing. I was so lucky to get to see him a couple of times. RIP M. Tortelier.

I played this concerto for her in one of her master classes. I was blessed to hear her proclaim BRAVO when I finished. What a life blessing to hear that word from such a legendary cellist. What an artist. That sound.....

El gran cellista Casals verdaderamente también fue gran director, y Piatagorsky, legendario. Gracias por este video, Carlos. Y me gustó muchísimo tu interpretación del Cassadó.

Cette pièce est écrite en mi bémol mineur et non pas en mi mineur comme la joue Maisky, c'est vrai qu'un dièse à la clé, c'est plus facile que six bémols, mais la couleur en est changée...
