Everyone’s a clown who think either major parties options are good presidential candidates. Sick of tired and America being so sick and tired they can’t come up with better candidates.

You don't know what you're talking about. One party was founded as the anti slavery party. Also... The KKK was a military arm of the democrats.

Hey Travis, thanks for this! The only thing I might add is use the 300K viscosity silicone. Went on some high-end turntable sites and that seems to be the preference. Slightly thinner than the 500K. 1:39

Don't believe the hype ;) There is nothing fancy or difficult about cleaning records. They're just PVC. There is an established method that is very simple and effective. Distilled water, Alcohol (or not) and a surfactant. Proper proportions. Propers brushes. Whether you use a bath like a spin clean or ultrasonic or a manual or automatic spinning platter and a vaccuum its the same idea. Wet down the record with the cleaning solution, remove the cleaning solution and then rinse and dry. No need for shortcuts. I also prefer glass or metal bowls to plastic since they will not absorb the grime or leach plastics. For heavily soiled thrift store or garage sale albums I like the idea of a bath in luke warm water to remove/loosen deep embedded grime, then a spin on the DIY vaccuum system that didn't cost me anywhere near $500. Shop vacs are cheap. Distilled water, 99% Alcohol and the surfactant or not expensive either.....you can do it.

A gallon of simple green concentrate should be available at the hardware store for $11-13. I think I’ve cleaned an entire house with the stuff.

Being a Clarence (the third), I already feel an instant kinship with you. I love your genuine love and excitement for music and your ability to burst out in song. It's the sign of a joyful heart! I'm sixty three so I remember when a lot of these songs came out. IMHO, Jackie Wilson still stands as one of the greatest singers and entertainers of all time. The Three Degrees formed in 1963 and they paid their dues on the chitterling circuit and had a few minor hits on small labels that charted on the R&B charts before signing with Gamble & Huff - Philadelphia International Records. They came out strong with this debut album and their second album, International which included TSOP by MFSB (Featuring the Three Degrees) but as their popularity in the U.S. waned Gamble and Huff continued to give their male artists and groups, Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes (featuring Theodore Pendergrass, Billy Paul and The O'Jays all the attention. I noticed PIR signed lots of talented women to the label, Patty LaBelle, Phyllis Hyman, Dee Dee Sharp and Jean Carn but most of them never got the promotion the male groups got. The Three Degrees eventually left PIR in 1978 and signed with Ariola Records and had some records that charted well on the R&B and Disco charts. The Three Degrees popularity never really faded but their strongest most loyal fan base has been in England and Japan. They continue to tour to this day. I agree, the gatefold photo of the girls in those see-through gowns drove the 12 year old kid going through the ravages of puberty insane! The music remains great to this day. :)

OR, for under $200, rig up your own motorised ultrasonic and enough alcohol and tergitol to clean thousands of records, five at a time, to the same standard as a $3000 machine. Think about it.

Aloha Tavis Thanks for sharing your thrift shop finds & unboxing. Can't go wrong with Paul Simon Greatest hits w/a gatefold cover to boot. That Jackie Wilson My Golden Favorites is a classic & you got an early pressing. The Graduate Soundtrack cool, Mrs. Robinson & Sounds Of Silence are what caught my attention back in the day when I saw this record album at Sears, but I must admit I wasn't into soundtracks, or 2 song record albums in 1968. So I might have bought some early Ten years after, or Grateful Dead or maybe Bob Dylan can't remember lol... Now your unboxing of the Three Degrees debut album for the Philadelphia Label, brings back memories of purchasing a Promo Copy at a book shop that sold used records on consignment, their was a customer who would bring in record albums & would put them on consignment he would come in weekly, never met the guy ,until years latter... Any he must have worked foa a radio station or a music reviewer, because all his records were new releases Promotion Copies Which said Not For Sale on them & some like the Three Degrees had a white timing Strip on the bottom of the front cover. He would always price his record albums any where from .50 cent to $3.50 for a double rock album. But most of his soul music record albums were price at .50 cents each, so that's how I got my first copy of The Three Degrees on the Philadelphia Label this was back in 1973 . I also scored Barry White, Billy Paul, Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes, O'Jays. You get the picture... that's how I started buying used pristine Promo copies while I was in High School here in Honolulu Hawaii. Tavis thanks for bring back my memories of the good old days of buying/listening & collecting record albums... Today I must have at least 3 + copies of that record album. Tavis I'll be looking forward to watching your next music video. Mahalo Ed
