I have been wearing the canvas WHITIN for two years now. Love them. Back pain gone and my feet are stronger. In fact regular shoes hurt my feet. Does anyone know of wide toe box socks? Warm ones for winter as well? I usually wear toe socks but I broke a pinky toe so need a regular sock for a bit.

11:26 I believe you're looking for the word "rectum." The rectum is the last section of the large intestine. It ends in the anus, or anal sphincter.

26:30 Hmmmm... 🤔 This surprises me greatly, considering your argument against TP around 23:07 where you state that you're surprised that people aren't grossed out by having several layers of TP between their fingers and poo. You're going to literally touch your anus with your finger and proceed to talk about growing up on a farm, so poo doesn't bother you. Later you mention hand sanitizer. Do you think that people who use TP don't follow up with washing their hands or with hand sanitizer? How is this any different? I think this method (finger-checking) is far grosser than how gross out you were by the idea of TP between your fingers and poo. Better idea: have a small mirror with you and check out the area that way. You should have a small mirror with you while hiking anyway. It's great in situations where you need to reflect the sun off of it to flash rescuers.

12:32 Women have a bit more to consider... speaking of which, the "spraying off" method of cleanup you demonstrate throughout should be tweaked for women, IMO. For women, spraying from the back _could_ result in fetal matter coming in contact to the va-jay-jay, which should be avoided at all cost. I would recommend the initial spray or two coming from a frontal assault. I'd hold the bottle between my legs and spray backward toward the anus. The traditional direction you show could be a follow-up shot, maybe finalized with a front shot to be sure everything is dripping in a better direction.

I appreciated a good healthy laugh as well as informative information. 22:07 The implication that my omnivorous diet produces "big greasy globs" is laughably inaccurate. I've eaten a variety of diets, so I can reliably compare the results. I've never had meat produce a "big greasy glob." Maybe that's because I always eat good quality meats? 🤷‍♀️

@@PaultheBackpacker That's weird. I've actually found loads of really good bottles that fit perfectly. I'll do a list for you of ready available bottles that I've found and use all the time. I've recently brought a protein like juice drink from my local Asda store ( Walmart owned I think ) , a nice curved shaped bottle that squeezes nicely, your Bidet fits perfectly. Funny really, as I'm going to order a couple more from you for the kids. I will though, give me a couple of weeks, give you a list of loads of bottles.

Your previous 3D printer model failed last year half way on my A.T. thru hike. It seemed to have delaminated or cracked so it would no longer stay tight in the bottle. I loved it so I was very disappointed, mainly because I had to get a competitor bidet from Amazon that used way too much water. So, I love that you have improved it and great to see it available. My future is looking squeaky clean again!

I’ve only used these a handful of times. Very comfortable but you do feel every rock underneath. Nothing uncomfortable or anything but I find that I go slower during tough hikes. I am debating if I should wear them for my long hikes which are very rocky but scared to try it. Have you or anyone else tried these shoes on hikes that are 10+ miles, rated hard?
@PaultheBackpacker
@PaultheBackpacker Ай бұрын
Yes to long hikes. Weird suggestion...take the insole out. You will feel more which will change how you walk. You will take smaller, more careful steps landing more on the middle of your foot. The other thing is that if you have only worn shoes with cushioning, you feet are totally desensitized. You're feeling things for the first time :) you get used to it and adjust. And then you can put the insoles back in.

I've never used a bidet and am interested in it but have some questions - Do you carry a bottle of water just for bidet use? I don't think I'd like to use the rest of the water in the bidet bottle for drinking water. Is there backsplash from butt to bidet and if so how do you clean the bidet? I usually carry 12 squares of tp (usually average 4 to 8 pieces per cleanup) per day in a Ziploc. Sanitizing hand wipe goes into the Ziploc with the used tp and the unused tp goes into a clean bag. Thanks for your video. Gives me more information to consider.
