I wouldn't say this was simple. There are a lot of moving parts. It does look useful, balance training, healthful, strengthening, etc but i wouldn't say simple

Hello beautiful teacher. Pranaam 🙏🏽 I appreciate your free teaching tips very much. Thank you. I will be sifting through your posts and perhaps reaching out for some one to one or courses in the future. May I suggest, with all humility and only loving intention, that you introduce yourself to the watchers. I love Ally Boothroyd and her yoga Nidra and I appreciate that she always does this. Her name is her main brand and that is so powerful and personal/intimate. ♥️♥️ Om Shanti Trish Jankovic

That is a failure of the so called "fitness instructors" to understand of anatomy or fitness. Rounding your spine with added weight on your back puts to much weight on one part of the spine. It's fine to do without added weight. Nice to see someone who understands that

We live in a world of comfort so for many people any discomfort is seen as pain and while it may feel that way to them, it’s not actually “pain” they’re experiencing. I think that’s why it’s important to experiment everyday and really pay attention to what you are feeling. Great topic!

Well I have to thank you for being here, on KZfaq, making shorts, because I swiped to this short and it stopped me from continuing to swipe maybe not-super-useful content and reminded me I wanted to listen to this episode in full. And that's what I did. So thank you for being here! This conversation was really great.

the other disruption i am encountering is one student who keeps her phone on, answers it, puts the other person on speaker and starts talking during class. i think last time she has a 2 minute conversation. i have already addressed turning off phones in class with her and it continues to happen. last time her phone whent off and was quite far away from her because she moved spots half way through the class and i just turned it off when her ringer went off. but i feel like i shouldnt have to be doing that, nor do i want to be touching her phone. any advice?
@HeartBonesYogaAnatomyMobility
@HeartBonesYogaAnatomyMobility 21 күн бұрын
Oh wow, that's very disruptive! Not only answering the phone in class but also putting it on speaker, that's wild to me. That's disrespectful to both you and the whole class, I would talk to her kindly after class and say that we have a no-phone policy inside the yoga room. If you have to pick up the phone because it's an emergency or something, that's fine, but please leave the studio and go outside. And maybe before each class to reinforce the boundaries, I would kindly remind people of the "rules" of the class, saying something like- "Hi everyone, welcome to the class. This is a space of mindfulness and care for ourselves and each other, so a friendly reminder before we begin to please put your phones on quiet, arrive 5 minutes before class, grab whatever props you need, etc (whatever you want to say). Thank you for respecting our class guidelines, I appreciate it. Now let's get into a comfortable position and begin to breathe...." And you do this before each class so that it's reinforced and a general reminder for all. Hopefully that helps!

I'm a Yoga teacher and appreciate the imagery of pointing the tailbone towards the heels to anchor the pelvis. It's a small adjustment that makes a big difference. I'll be teaching future classes with this cue. I also love the cue of lengthening the spine, rather than bending it. Thanks for your insights!
