Ok, this guy was absolutely NUTS with Khan. I was struggling to find any openings even when i was playing it smart. I won't spoil anything unless you click Read More, but just know that this guy is the embodiment of the sentence "Any roy can beat a good fox". The only game i won was game 2, but even then that must have been by divine luck because i'm pretty sure those were the only two sets that i won as well, meaning that i got super lucky that they came in the same game.

So for this one, the Mariah player was a veteran, but they also exclusively play Mariah. They also haven't fought a Devo main in literal years. So who would win? This doesn't show up in the replay, but in the middle of the mariah match, we both got the mother of all lagspikes out of absolutely nowhere. Like, we both had no clue what was happening until it had happened. That made the last two matches really chaotic. Even though the lag doesn't show up in the replay, you can probably pin point the second it happens, as both our iq's completely drop. Also this guy was apparently new, but to give him credit, he did remarkably well for a new player.

This match was interesting because Kj was learning the matchup as we went on. I started steamrolling him, but i was also giving him advice on how to counter Devo, and by the end we were about 50/50.

The thing that made this match crazy to me was that when Fulomen switched to oldseph, he played EXACTLY how i used to play. Like, FUCKING EXACTLY. Down to the point where he was doing fancy shit with his 214AA and his counter that i used to do to fool people... AND I WAS FALLING FOR IT. It was a very out of body experience. gg's tho.

For a bit of context, he challenged be before i even REALISED i was promoted to C rank, so if i didn't win this battle i would have lost something i didn't even know i had. Fortunately i did pull it off thanks to two giga brain roll reads right at the end, and the rest is history.
