They are also nice. 😊Temple/Shrine stamps or Goshuin usually require a donation of 300-500 JPY and not really bought before. Anyway, I plan to make another video featuring them and other free souvenirs we can get here in Japan.

It wasn’t that bad people complain too much. I was there last week long sleeves long pants no issue. People wear crappy clothes that don’t wick and don’t drink enough water or eat the right foods in general. I didn’t even sweat that much. Also, with how evaporation works, wicking layers and fabrics can cool you down more than skin exposure. A full cotton undershirt with a semi baggy linen or cotton long sleeve shirt acts like a heat sink and sweat evaporation rack. Skin exposure is limited in how cool you can get, having long airy clothes that get the sweat baked out in seconds and blocks direct sun, work wonders. People literally just don’t understand thermodynamics or fluid flow through textiles. I was running around the mountains in Hyogo too not shop hopping AC.

Donki has kimono?! Good to know; I was planning on hunting kimono in second hand shops or smaller kimono shops, but this brings more opportunities (because in the best case scenario I'd end up with a couple sets of juban and tabi, a kimono, haori, haori-himo, koshi-himo, obi, geta and setta and maybe hakama... I'd be flat broke though🤣) ... Kimono are such a great way to instantly look stylish.... And yes, instantly, because let's be real; once you know how to, it's just tying two knots (three with hakama): one easy and the other(s) pretty/stylish...😄 Also really looking forward to finding nice kitchen knives.... But I can imagine me ending up at Haneda, explaining why I've bought a suitcase full of knives😅 -"Yes, well.... This one is for my brother-in-law who loves to barbecue, these are for my sister, this one is for when i'm cooking at work, these are for......."😂

@@JepandJapan Okay, bit of a story but here goes: I grew up with my dad having an impressive set of 35mm SLRs, lenses etc. but I was too young to touch them. So I always got those disposable cardboard point-and-shoot ones. And seeing how he passed before he could teach me how to use SLRs, I never really got what all the fuss was about... Then one day I picked up a Canon AE-1 at a pawn shop and the very instant I looked through the viewfinder I got it; you have total control (with controls for Aperture and Shutter Speed etc)... I still have that cam (and taking it with me to Japan, of course) ...😊 Anyway, if you do pick up a film camera (120mm or 35mm) and want to go shoot with it; I always bring a digital SLR along to do the metering (that way the DSLR will give Shutter Speed and Aperture I can use on any film camera; just set the ISO to the ISO of your film)😄 kzfaq.infogaming/emoji/7ff574f2/emoji_u1f604.png

My story: bought an A7ii here in Japan and put one of those language patches on it (forgot the name) and was happy with it for the last 5 years. But, last year I put my EF 50mm 2,5 macro on it (with Sigma mc-21) and my camera just kind of when a bit nuts. The back dial and button didn`t work anymore, so I send it to Sony to ask for a repair quote... I got a very rude (for Japanese standards that is) reply that because it had non Sony approved software on it (which they claimed broke the thing - yeah sure after not breaking the thing for over 5 years!?) they did not want to repair it!!! WTF!?!? I mean, it is not that it was still in warranty or anything like that, and I was of course not expecting them to do it for free, but NO JOY, they bluntly refused to touch it! In the end, my Japanese wife got involved and the `compromise` they suggested was that if I removed the `illegal` language patch from the camera they would be willing to fix it... Well, try to get anything going with your camera with access to the menu and such (back dial and button don`t work anymore, remember). SO, long story short, I am being punished by Sony for being a dumb `gaijin` (foreigner) living in Japan who doesn`t read all the Kanji... WELL SHITsurei shimashita Sony!
