Archie never should’ve gone over to Trudy’s. He knew they were alright and just needed to cool off.

Already Meat Head was asserting his entitlement by banging the spoon on the glass, especially that last bang. Then by calling Archie ignorant, he stepped way over the line. Archie was insensitive about his feelings regarding the changes in baseball, but it was HIS house. Ideally, Edith should have stuck up for her husband and let him toss that loser out to the curb. Tough if Gloria didn't like it.

Edith: ain’t you gonna say you was wrong. Me as Archie: wrong about what?edith: about Mike’s privacy. Me as Archie: Why would I say that? Edith: I said I was wrong. Gloria: I said I was wrong. Mike: I said I was wrong. Me as Archie: we can’t all be wrong. Mike: yes we can Archie. Me as Archie: no that’s not the way it works. It doesn’t work that way. Someone’s right, someone’s wrong. You were wrong and I was right. Edith: we ain’t coming home until you say we got a right to our privacy. Me as Archie: that’s blackmail. That’s worse than anything I’ve ever done. Mike: oh so you admit you were wrong. Me as Archie: what? Mike: you just admitted that searching my closet was wrong. Me as Archie: I never said that! Mike: you just did! Me as Archie: don’t put words in my mouth! Edith: Archie say you was wrong. Edith: I was wrong. Mike: I was wrong. Gloria: I was wrong. Me as Archie: what is this? confession? (Sarcastically) I was wrong! I was wrong! I was wrong! Edith: he said he was wrong! They all sing he’s a jolly good fellow Edith hugging me as Archie: which nobody can deny! He said he was wrong! Me as Archie pushing her off of me! Get off me! Edith: Archie! Gloria: daddy! Me as Archie: don’t ever hug me like that and say he said was wrong again or I’ll push you right off of me like that again! I never said I was wrong! I was mocking you! You just don’t know what sarcasm is! I never said searching your closet was wrong! You’re all trying to put words into my mouth! Gloria: we’re not trying to put words in your mouth! Me as Archie: yes you are! You’ve been trying to put words into my mouth since I walked through that door! Edith: Archie, say you was wrong. Edith: I said I was wrong. Mike: I said I was wrong. Gloria: I said I was wrong. Me as Archie: I will never say I was wrong! I’d rather die than say I was wrong! Edith: Archie! Gloria: daddy! Me as Archie: I’m going home! Bye bye!good night! I try to walk out as Archie, but Edith stops me. Edith: Archie say you was wrong. Me as Archie: never! Edith: I was wrong. Gloria: I was wrong. Mike: I was wrong. Me as Archie: You were wrong, so I was not wrong! I was right! Good night! I came here to bring you home, but now you can just forget it! You can come back home in the morning. Until then, you can stay here for the night and cool off. You can get over yourselves here for the night while you’re enjoying your sleepover here, but you’re just gonna have to do it by yourselves because I’m not gonna sit here and do it with you. I’m going home to cool off. I wouldn’t say I was wrong if everything depended on it! As Archie, I leave and slam the door.

Archie’s usual Sunday morning breakfast as follows: Eggs over easy (drain the grease), Bacon crisp (and drain the grease), Four slices of toast (lightly buttered), Juice (6OZ), and Coffee (mountain grown). Beats the H-E-Double-Toothpicks out of Gloria’s Bacon Soufflé any day of the week!

How about the way that Gloria’s friend Mona looked?! Too bad that the infamous Edith Bunker cookbook said Mona gave birth to a daughter, especially since 9 times out of 10, she more than likely had a son, being as big a round as she was in the episode! Besides, I think that maybe after Edith passed away on the spin-off known as “ARCHIE BUNKER’S PLACE”, Archie possibly had a one night stand with his cook, Veronica Rooney. Then she took a job offer at the campus cafeteria at Langley College in Peekskill where she befriended Edna Garrett, Tootie Ramsey, Jo P., Natalie Green, Boots Sinclair, and Blair Warner, among others. By May 1982, Veronica Rooney takes a maternity leave, and she winds up finding herself giving birth to Archie Bunker, Jr.?! Ofcourse, she managed to get a discount at a used auto dealership with Jo’s help, which came in handy because she selected a good used 1979 Ford F-150 Ranger with Texas license plates; indicating that the pickup was obviously formerly owned by Southfork Ranch Foreman Ray Krebbs. Anyway, almost a year has passed by when Veronica shows up at the bar one day with Archie Jr in tow. So after the blood tests of the time proves that the baby’s father is Archie, he does the honorable thing by marrying Veronica Rooney who becomes the second Mrs. Archie Bunker.

Archie never said he was wrong, he was mocking and imitating them. They were trying to put words into his mouth. I’m surprised he didn’t push Edith off of him and told her to never hug him like that again or say he said he was wrong again. I would’ve. They don’t know sarcasm when they hear it? Still, he expected to take them home after what he did? If I was Archie I would’ve just left them there to cool off, or better yet, not even go there in the first place. Edith, Mike, and Gloria said they were wrong so Archie was not wrong, he was right. Sorry you three, that’s not the way it works. It doesn’t work that way. I’m not sure if that’s blackmail though. Archie never admitted he was wrong. He never said that searching Mike’s closet was a crime. It wasn’t. They should’ve just ended the episode where they all storm out and Archie is left home alone.

Women's lib has desolated the current generation. Archie would turn over in his grave. I have met numerous high school and colllege girls of this generation that curse like sailors, dress with hardly any clothes on, and listen to the filthiest music I've ever heard (especially gangster rap, which is destroying the youth). I pray for the youth of this country. Something is very wrong.

Well it seems like a really stupid show. Why does Gloria and Mike live with her parents if they are so miserable? Gloria was sexually assaulted on the street in another episode so yeah women are not degraded at all in society? It's not intelligent it's not humourous but then most TV isn't imo. Some people like cooking Edith does that's fine people need to eat she's a bit of a simpleton personality wise but that's the only type woman that would tolerate Archie because he's rude makes more sense why Mike ran off I couldn't put up with that for a week certainly not weeks no matter how pretty Gloria is.
