Very interesting design, The thing to remember is the "cube 1/8 centered" for he zombies to walk across and let the loot bags drop. the dire wolfs may not have seen a path, I am unsure if they can fall down a single block hole you had at the top of the roof. the only downside is how much iron you need to feed all those dart traps. Personally, I prefer using turrets since I always have tons of unused ammo by doing missions and general looting of POI. you need to put them to the left of the zombies path so they don't trigger the demo zombies

That looks pretty cool. Would use something like a powered door as a step so I could control the zombies' ability to come up. Would make the staircase wider as well, since zombies have a tendency to get stuck in narrow places and beat on things. That would make this pretty good to combat the insane screamer changes. I have to wonder how many blocks you end up losing up top when a block below gets taken out with the weird way this game handles structural integrity. I've experienced losing a few blocks up top when building high when a block below gets knocked out. Not sure how practical that is for a horde. I'd probably opt to just do horde elsewhere. Or just simply put ladders up the column with a diagonal railing at their top (facing outward) would make the zombies go on a continual loop while you shot downward. Less chance for zombies to get stuck. Animals would likely get bugged and just stand at the bottom.

@CautiousPancake

Just take out the bottom two blocks of the ladder and it'll be fine! Two empty blocks then the ladder - doing that allows you to jump up, but the zombies won't see it as a path!

Regarding tip # 10 - I have found that garment bags and clothes shelves and clothes piles also have a good chance to give a legendary part. Not that you'll need it on day 1 or 5 or 10, but keep it in mind and build up the parts so you're not scrambling later.

Nice! I always like trying different droppers, but like when I can still fight as well.. I like the .125 pole or whatever it's called, standing vertical. The more u use, the higher percentage drop. I use 2 so about half drop while the others u can easily melee and knock then off.

One further thing to consider is resource conservation. Getting more ore from fewer nodes can reduce travel time from searching or traveling to more distant locations. So ore per minute, while important, isnt the only necessary consideration.

Manually killing zombies at your main base is something labor some There's multiple glitches to allow you to make 200 robotic turrets and multi million AP ammo. I used the truck and glitched myself a myriad of Ammo and turrets and Repair kits. of course I glitched a myriad of steel and iron..... I picked a house and made everything thats in it and around it out of steel. Then I installed 80 AP Robotic turrets I get that they are OP as no horde can penetrate the rave of swinging lights 360 degrees around my steel bunker house. BUT I realized they were OP after I installed around a thousand wood spikes that I turned to Iron considering the glitches of Dups. I realized that before the turrets and also before the 10x100 SMG torrents' I duped were nothing compared to these annihilators(Robo Turr). I could not waste the SMG turrets they had to do somthin so I installed them parallel side by side with 6x156 Batteries(26 banks w/ 156 engines to charge and 156 grade 5 solar cells Then I realized the SMG turrets power source was good for everything powered...so I duplicated out of boredom every resource in the game to just below a million. That way I can craft many things multiple times over and over. Also I realized.... why not have multiple trucks? You know to sacrifice to drive into the horde for fun so I duped 20 x 2 40 trucks. I have 40 trucks. And to repair it all I duped repair kits to a couple hundred thousand and including iron. I struggle with cloth..... It sucks cuz I don't want to really dup that now. I'm addicted to duplicating and overkilling my base. If your my enemy I already thought of that and increased my Robo Turrets to 160 Today. It might be more at the end of the week. I'm thinking of 160 + Head Height 80. I've already got plenty AP ammo but not mods for the extra. While I'm at it I suppose I can TNT the borders a bit beyond my House/guns to bedrock. All around the base. You have to fly in. Then maybe in a week or so I'll add more turrets. I'm thinking a turret forest around my base. but yeah, POI's I'll have fun with AP rounds but will also carry ROBO turrets just in case I lose a health point or two Drone storage always has full Robo AP's...just don't like keeping my stuff in em since they can disappear I've got a small warehouse full of Robo Turrs so we good.(End of week will have medium-large warehouse) My rule of thumb: If it is slightly hard in your quest your lacking firepower. If horde night is a fight you don't have enough turrets. I recommend at least 3-4 turrets per zombie minimum Personally to sleep sound at night I go with a 12-16 per zombie. BUT it always good to double or triple that. I like stacks so thats why at the end of the week I will 10x it or more. This is the guaranteed way to pass the toughest horde. Note: my math is wrong with the turrets I produce. It's atleast quadrupled per x .

I'm not sure if I understand forcefield block behavior yet enough to explain very well, but I just tried replacing the steps on the side of your Pit 32 base with these storage cubes (openings facing up of course) in that 1-2-3-2-1 "v shaped" pattern like is in the video, leaving the appropriate gap between the edge and middle step. 2 screamers spawned while I was on top of the base, and they ran right over and jumped across to the bottom step no problem. I'm assuming I just got unlucky with the timing and my height, and they would have done the same regardless of the steps being a forcefield or not, as the base is designed to make them jump down to your fighting level. But I've learned a valuable lesson that just because the steps are forcefields doesnt mean zombies cant walk on um lol. Though I do wonder if they would have jumped across a 2-block wide air gap to the bottom step if I left if that far...

Hey brother! Love the videos! Want to let it be known that if zombies fall onto the new block, the can pretty easily fall through all of them, to the ground level. I just went through day 70 horde and learned the hard way! I thought I cheesed them by keeping them all in a falling animation but they in fact started digging on the bottom, even though they fell through the first two concrete layers! Crazy! 😊

@CautiousPancake I think block has been fixed by devs. Before I get any hate, I did watch the video from start to finish MULTIPLE times. I just built a complete horde base using a 4 wide 4 deep trench with this block filling the entire trench (4 wide & 4 deep with holes up). I couldn't say it worked or failed on horde night because I was a bit busy killing things (so I assume it worked as intended or maybe because zombie pathing because I was 10 meters above ground level), however the next morning I literally watched 2 Radiated Screamers run long wise down these blocks towards me. It does seem to work somewhat on "Normal" zombies but not so much on Radiated. Also I did notice Zombies falling from height onto these blocks and getting embedded within the blocks. This happened numerous times from the horde night and had to use molotovs to eventually kill them since I could not see them to shoot them as they were inside the blocks. So even though blocks fill the entire space, zombies falling onto them from height can get embedded into the blocks. I do enjoy the videos and look forward to more.

I can confirm both cases in a similar situation, zombies walked over the blocks (can confirm bc spike traps got damaged). Also zombies falling from my killing corridor and some of them clipping under the block. They despawned as soon as i left the area for a while.

Tip for stability in case of wall damage: any spot where there is host ore sand, replace that, it has one of the lowest stability and attachment scores of any block in the game, as well as a super low health. (I mean, you probably want the ore eventually too, but, the sand is more important as far as wall health goes.)
