This is the best crackle finish I've been able to find using spray cans. I really wanted to replicate this, fairly sure this is accurate: 1. Black: Rust-Oleum Flat Protetive Enamel Black (likely 7776830) 2. Neon Green: VHT Engine Enamel Grabber Green SP154 3. Crackle: Montana Crackle (probably the amazon one EC9017) I will try Gold+Black crackle and report back.

Some other notes I made for myself: - This guitar was sprayed indoors in a t-shirt, so the temperuature was probably mild (ideal) - By only crackling the front, you’re less rushed and can focus on even coverage in different directions, getting a nice thick layer on before it starts chemically reacting - Interestingly you lay a very thick base coat, then let it dry 2 hours. Can recommends 45 minutes - I’ve seen other videos where heat guns or fans are used to speed up and increase cracking, I’ve also noticed sunlight seems to increase it, but that may be random or due to heat

Thanks for doing this it's a huge help, the angle of the camera is great. I do appreciate thorough explanations, much better than insufficient, however if I have one critique it would be that you talked a LOT for example you said let's get to it but you had already talked for 3 minutes! I know you wanted to get some things in but just keep it tight! Also you explained a couple things twice as if you weren't sure we got it the first time. Once again this was very helpful I hope you don't mind my suggestions.

You’re not crazy. What you detailed should have definitely been listed by the seller. If the seller says condition is subjective, then why hide details? He should be able to say the guitar is in excellent condition with an obvious paint fix and a stripped out neck screw if condition is truly subjective.

DUDE! I did almost EXACTLY this recently. I even used almost the exact same products. I am shocked that somebody else is doing the exact same thing. It works incredibly well and it is the fastest fret polishing technique I have ever found. I was able to take some nasty old frets on my brothers busted old Epiphone bass and bring them almost back to new. Including masking taping the fretboard, it took me a total of 20 minutes to clean and polish all the frets. I could have spent another 30 minutes doing some extra fine polishing and brought them to a mirror finish, but it wasn’t necessary for that bass. That technique you showed will get frets 95% of the way to perfect in no time. It’ll save you 2 hours of mind numbing polishing over other systems. Great video. You know how to make a cheap guitar a really enjoyable guitar. Great job.

I'm thinking about how much will you pay if you let a music instrument technician from a guitar repair store handle all those processes in Canada.
@SIX1NINEGUITARSANDGEAR2 ай бұрын
For sure a couple hundred dollers alot of these production based guitars are what u call “ fast “ guitars there made fast little time as possible is spent on each process keeping cost down on manufacturing so taking the few hours to do this work if the factory did it can easily take this 300 Gio and could sell it as a higher end model for 500$ plus easily i would be confident days guitars like these theres prob less then 20 minutes spent on fret work at the factory before they noved onto the next guitar in line.

I have the same one. It came out of the box not putting out any sound. I thought, "it can't be that complicated" so I pulled the cover off and the issue was a loose pot had spun a bit creating a short. I sorted that out and tightened it up and it was good to go. The frets on mine are quite good. The stock setup was adequate. The neck pickup was tilted slightly (high toward neck), but that was easily fixed by adjusting the foam pads behind it.
