The very first time i created a boat in dst and going sailing with my friend is that true joy i remembered back when i first load into minecraft that feeling is soo good i just want to feel that furst time boat sailing in dst with my friend

project zomboid isn't all about looting endgame stuffs. Before everything gets stale I tend to build a damn town in a forest which gives me a sense of direction in the endgame, design it and fortify it and try exploring all of the unknown danger it offers.

Its kinda funny how im went the complete opposite of this. I used to play cozy games like Minecraft with cute mods, Good Pizza, the sims, and so on. At one point i found that these games doesn't bring enough thrill and doesn't give me the dopamine rush i always seek so i started playing games like cod, extraction shooter games, anything that makes my brain think im going to die if i lose

PZ is the only zombie game I don't like, definitely an outlier. I really don't understand why that dogshit game is so liked.

Quick addendum: “If you don’t have friends” Hop in any random lobby. Press V. When you see a dwarf, press V. When you mine gold, press V. When you complete an objective, press V. When you start an objective, press V. You will make friends through this game. And then you may never see them again after that mission. Or, you stay in lobby together, drink a few beers, start another mission and do it all over again. Then you may never see them again. Or it rinses and it repeats. Everyone (give or take maybe TWO players) in my 500+ hours has been so fun and helpful and kind. It is a great community. Just hop in! Rock and Stone.

I love zomboid but at the same time it’s so boring. Once I build a base I’m basically done. What then? I’ll upgrade the base. But then there’s two choices after that, it’s either: Fight a horde til you die or Keep upgrading your base. I already know the map so I can’t explore. I just really hope the NPCs add different groups and interactions to actually keep me interested.

My friends ruined my first time playing this game too. There's other reasons I dislike the game, but my friends didn't give me any space to learn the game myself, and ironically they only made me more confused.

It's genuinely just a bad take saying this is better than Binding of Isaac or that this has more soul/passion/anything of that nature. Especially the claim that you do not progress when you die? There is a huge amount of progression via unlocked content through continued runs. Then if you want to get into the soul of the game, look into the story, which is from the bible and all the other spiritual and religious themes throughout. BoI clears this game 20 times over. Furthermore you can start a run in 3 hits of the enter key, and restart a run by only holding [R]; better than RoR

I think the reason why it works so much is because the game is so immersive, it’s hard not to feel the comraderie of trying to get back to your bunk with your bunk mates, making sure that no dwarf is left behind and always remember the fallen brethren that fell in HOXXES
