El tempo es muy apresurado, desde mi parecer, pero pues cada quien intepreta a su gusto. Aún así técnica perfecta!

It may be impressive to play some waltzes fast, but playing music is not a race. For example, if the Minute Waltz is played so fast that you can't tap your toe or sing or at least hum along with it, and if you can't hear the syncopations in it, you know it's too fast.

All those whining about tempi being too fast, why not just click it off and find something you like? You just have to write something negative, don't you? Pathetic.

I got this record when I was around 10 and at the time I thought it was pure wizardry. At 55 I still do. I couldn't imagine how anyone could get to these heights. He sure did set some unsurpassable standards in more ways than one.

Woah. Fresh takes on the score. Some tempos are very quick, but adds liveliness to the piece.

I just took a (month?-)long visit to Beethoven's sonatas, and when I now come back to Chopin's first Opus-numbered piece, I again realize the brilliant innovativeness of Chopin's Romantic-style, which is edified in this piece, as early as two years before Beethoven's death. That indicates that his inspiration was primarily distant from Beethoven in style, and indeed, it is regarded that Hummel inspired Chopin to the highest extent out of any other composer.

Only listen to 1st one so far. It's way too rushed and spoils the intended feeling of the piece. It's not just tempo - it literally feels as if you are just trying to make your own point with how fast you can be. Many pianists do this and it's a shame as it takes away a lot from the pieces and strips out any sentiments
