(Andy, is upstairs passed out drunk.) Elizabeth:”Oh, good! Andy will be pleased!” Publisher:”Yes! It’s such a charming Childrens book..” Elizabeth:”Wait a minute, did you say “Childrens book, sir?” Publisher:”I did indeed, Mrs. Farmer. And what a charming book Andy has written, about an adorable squirrel he apparently named for himself..” as all the while Elizabeth, smoldering with FURY, rolls her eyes towards the ceiling, all like,”The absolute NERVE of that DRUNK of MY HUSBAND! This time he went too far, crossed the line, and now I’m LEAVING HIM, going to stay with Mrs. Dinges!”(guess she somehow couldn’t go home to Mother, so as an alternative, with someone else she could trust.)

Come on now. What about the scene where the mover guy takes Chevys leather chair and throws it in the lake. That was one of the funniest parts of the whole movie. 🪑 🏊

“Hay Fever?” Lol Bill Gannon had quite the hay fever in the series. Had his own remedy, too. But he was slightly allergic to said remedy, so had to take allergy medicine from his doctor for it.

The funniest part of this movie is that Officer Gannon finally made it to Captain Gannon.

Not for nothing but I believe that the picture behind Capt. Gannon is the same picture of Mildred Potter from MASH.

There's a continuity error in this clip. When they go to the captain's office, it is Friday, January 9. Later, when they drive to the site of the pagan meeting, it is Thursday, January 8. It should still be January 9, just later in the morning.

The scene when the dog runs away as soon as hes out of the car still makes me laugh so hard I almost cry. Nobody plays a schmuck better then Chevy chase.

Love this movie again and again

I've been looking for this one movie forever and I thought this was the movie but I'm not so sure now. All I can remember was that it was nighttime and Chevy Chase was standing outside the porch of this brokendown house and there was a hick family or Chevy had a family or something. Anyway, the hick spits tobacco from really far away and it flies and lands right on Chevy's foot. I don't remember what the movie was called or if the actor was even Chevy but I do remember seeing it a lot in the 90s.
