1:06:48 ASL Bridgify could have KZfaq as a customer; they might be interested in a subtitle generation service for ASL.

Dumb question. Is it too late to cease Ai? Will we suffer being laid off by Ai? Ai jobloss for everyone? Swell robotics everywhere? Just to be exterminated by an Ai new world order?

Agent.OS could be either a tremendous platform we all use in the future or it could be just total conceptual vapor ware. Presentation unfortunately gave the impression of the latter

Nvidia recent fortunes are fundamentally built on fraud and funding crypto currency mining farms and rebranding them as AI datacenters today. Why use face of a narcissist and a liar like Jensen in your presentations. Once again everyone is giving too much credit to a single person like they did with SBF for starting FTX.

Tbh selling it to customers to give context to literature is a pretty cool idea, could help with critical thinking skills and media literacy.

1:00:40 Did this panelist seriously suggest that “there’s nuanced reasons” why 911 calls don’t get answered within 60 seconds, as if this is a good thing? The reason is they are understaffed, and they need additional support, as stated in the presentation. As usual, the students are far more insightful than their judges

**Andrej Karpathy's Keynote & Winner Pitches at UC Berkeley AI Hackathon 2024 Awards Ceremony** 1. The main themes of the event revolve around the intersection of AI and education, the importance of diversity and inclusion in educational content, and the potential of AI to revolutionize various industries. - The event highlighted the need for tools that can detect and mitigate bias in educational materials, such as textbooks, to create a more inclusive learning environment. It also showcased the transformative power of AI in automating tasks and workflows, enabling individuals and businesses to harness the capabilities of AI without extensive technical knowledge. 2. The event emphasized the role of AI in fostering creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration among young talent. - The importance of nurturing these skills to shape a future where technology and humanity coexist harmoniously was discussed. The collaborative nature of agent OS and the importance of multi-agent workflows for productivity and quality of life were highlighted. 3. The democratization of large language models (LLMs) for various use cases was a key focus. - The challenges of reliability and security in AI agents, the need for a clear market focus, and the potential for agent OS to revolutionize complex decision-making processes across industries were discussed. 4. Human modeling for optimizing city infrastructures was another significant topic. - The competitive landscape of AI-driven customer service, the ethical considerations in AI deployment, and the potential for AI to assist in emergency response and language learning for individuals with hearing loss were explored. 5. The event featured a series of special prizes awarded by various sponsors. - Sponsors included Reach Capital, Intel, AWS, u.com, Hume, and Groq, who recognized innovative AI projects in different categories such as climate tech, responsible AI, and empathic AI. 6. The grand prize was awarded to Dispatch AI for their impressive project. - The prize included a $25,000 investment from the Berkeley SkyDeck fund, a golden ticket to SkyDeck's program, and $2,500 in credits from OpenAI. The event celebrated the hard work and creativity of all participants, with a special mention for Nathan Bog's technical excellence.

Summary of Andrej Karpathy's Keynote: 11:27 - How projects become real-world change 11:39 - #1 snowball your projects \\ Gpt1 came out of an OpenAI project for a Reddit chatbot -- Many of your projects won't gain traction and get big, but some might -- Build lots of projects and snowball the ones show potential for growth 16:25 - #2 put in the time \\ It takes 10000 hours to become an expert at something -- Success comes from repeated practice -- Build a project, learn from it, build the next project, repeat -- The total amount of time you put in is what matters 20:04 - #3 keep the dopamine flowing \\ Your brain wants rewards, give it rewards -- There is satisfaction in finishing a project -- Publish your projects, you'll work harder to make it better because you don't want to show off crap -- Getting feedback, comments, likes, and people sharing your project feels good
