Great video mate. Would this be the same on a mk4 mondeo? My rad needs replacing but don’t want to change and de gas all the ac unit aswell. Is it possible to do the same on the mk4 and slide rad out and leave rest in place? Cheers

@monabri7387 1 minute ago (edited) If you haven't got a 22mm deep socket with extension bar - i'd suggest borrowing one or investing in one! The job is MUCH (MUCH) easier! Otherwise it is a b1tch of a job trying to get a spanner in (I failed). With the deep socket, it is a doddle.

@chezzcoombes How do you get to it - from underneath or via the hood. If via the top do you need to remove any components to access the turbo area

Ideally you should have bought a LVLP paint gun rather than the HVLP. The LVLP can run on 3-5cfm but HVLP often need 8-12 cfm

Great video, i wasn't to sure if the alternator would come out. Just done mine on my Galaxy 1.8 tdci 07 plate

The bolt holding my shock is stuck to a nut which is welded to the frame. What I did to loosen it was to use a Dremel with an EZ456 cutting disk to cut a slot in the nut. Then I applied some penetrating oil and it loosened up. You don't need to cut through the whole thing right away. Unfortunately, the bolt is also seized to the bushing and I don't think a cutting disk can full break that open. I'm still working on it.

Was gonna instal it on my mondeo from 2007. Problem is a different wiring. There is about 10 yellow wires. So no folding mirrors for me on the alarm fob.🙃

Great real video. In a week, i hope to have replaced all 4 springs on my mk4. The video shows that it isnt completely necessary to compress the rear springs before removing them, but the front ones have to be compressed , eventually after removing the completely strut included the hub first. Cautions is important
