Because unfortunately, a 10 from “Pro Grading” is not worth much and isn’t as reputable. A PSA 9 is worth about 20x more than in its current slab as a 10.

What do you use to guesstimate your grades and determine if it’s worth sending?

Just my knowledge and experience. I look them over carefully under magnification and good lighting. I’ve graded enough cards to know what they may grade.

I will wipe them off and make sure there isn’t anything obvious on the surface that simply wipes off but that’s about it.

PSA has their issues but the resale is best with PSA I think.... Or you can go with Beckett or SGC. I would pick one of those three. There are other companies too that are smaller

New viewer to your channel here. Starting a graded set of 86 Fleer myself buying raw cards. Love your vids on the PSA reveals. One thing about the Alex English card that got a 6: I noticed upper right hand of the front has a small dent on the surface. That’s probably why the 6.

Naw, not complaining about 9's ever..... I try to avoid 8's but I'll take 'em. I just feel I missed something when they come back as an 8 and I try to do better.

This is a very helpful analysis; thanks. What do you think about the 1995 Walter Payton autographed calling cards? Many companies used them as cut signatures in their products. Would you be comfortable acquiring one if it was PSA certified?

I found a box of unopened 86 fleer basketball packs of cards at my moms house last week. I must have bought them when i was a kid. Im not sure what to do with them. Open or sell them. Be so hard to part with them unopened.

PSA 8 :( PSA is mean with these older cards. Good note for you, PSA doesn't care as much about centering as they do the other categories. The corner and surface issue will give it an 8. Hopefully a 9, fingers crossed!

From my experience, the LT in action will get a PSA 8 and the LT RCs will get a 7s. The centering top to bottom is off too much so that it will get a 7. Maybe 8 will a qualifier. Good luck in your submission.
