This narrator is a complete master of the craft. So brilliant to listen to. He’s a professional, right? Must be. Anyway, the entire three parts of this wonderful narration have brought me immense pleasure. Thank you!

Born late 40’s - Stephen king took me back to my teenage years and what a thrilling nostalgia trip. King is a fantastic writer capturing the norms, the culture, the mood of that time period. Thank you thank you thank you-I keep re listening to this audio. King is a master!!!!!!!! Read/listen to 11 22 63 an equally masterfully written book by king.

What a great story, that is until the last book. That is when I relied that Mr. King hates him self, he hates the charters. Most of all he hates his fans, the people who made him rich and famous. Sure he gave everyone an ending but he kept on righting until he was sure that he disappointed the reader. Out of all the books the last one was the worst. The battle between Roland and the Wizard was pointless and in the end you find out that it did not end. There are still two glowing red eye's that Roland could not erase. Maybe with all the dimensional traveling Roland should have gone back and found the horn that was lost and blew it. F&$k you Mr. King, and you disappointing endings.

From my understanding, downloads are available for KZfaq Premium users which is a paid service. Although it has some benefits (no ads, off-line usage etc.) it also has many restrictions. You cannot copy, sell, rent, or sublicense the Paid Services to any third party. Sorry for the spiel but I have other channels copying and posting my content as their own.

I won't spoil what's coming for anyone... but if this is your first foray into Mid-World, be warned-- Roland will break your heart, and your heart will break for him. He lives only for one thing, at any cost--and cost him it most surely will. Ken it if ye may, and say thankee-sai.

My wife and I listened to this all the way from Chicago to Arizona over 25 years ago. It was 9 cassette tapes I think. Yes I know, I’m dating myself lol

There are 6 cassettes, but it says 9 hours long, on the box. I trimmed out a lot of music and quite a bit of the long pauses so this is down to about 8 hours, 20 minutes. Thanks for listening.

For what it’s worth, since beginning this excellent series, I pictured Roland, to look like “Gil Favor,” from Rawhide ! Played by Eric Fleming . I’m not disappointed in my choice

I found an audiobook in the library years back, found it one of the most interesting stories I'd heard and totally fell for it being a real person and his story. The only disappointing thing was it's fiction. Even though, you'll like it.
