Good video lads only just managed to watch this one. … bring on the next one
@48yomoАй бұрын
The thing is your not fishing your own methods are you, your fishing with their baits, you can choose your rigs and end tackle but your feeding the fish the same food they eat constantly, get the bailiff to cast out for you on the known spots you might as well. That’s not angling I’m afraid. Good luck anyways it’s not a slight on you two guys but the way the big fisheries can not just monopolise on the monetary value of you feeding their fish with their bait I find it takes away the magic of finding or using a bait you yourself have confidence in. Rant over, tight lines…

Decent video 👌 I actually found the middle of the lake more productive when I was on the mere, that was peg 9 in the autumn though. Also if you want some suggestions for a day ticket 40 in the UK, I'd say linear b1, then bluebell kingfisher, then Baden hall quarry, all got a good head of 40's in them 👍
@carpinterestАй бұрын
Cheers mate! We was actually wondering how productive the middle of the lake would be. Thats good to know. And ahh yes mate! We have just filmed episode 3 at Baden hall. That will be out in a few weeks. And our next session is going to be kingfisher lake (if we manage to get on) 👍🏽💪🏼 cheers Phillip 👍🏽

Great video lads!! Love hunts myself, not easy when the fish ain't having it. I've done well on surface fished zigs but that's in summer when fish are on top. But I usually fish that gravel bar too with solid bags and particle spod mix over the top. As for Burgers gotta try a morrisons caramelised onion burger! Out of interest did you guys have permission to film with the drone?? I've just got one but my understanding was that drones wasn't allowed at linear!?

Don't leave your reels in the water that's the fastest way to kill them, also hunts corner everyone fishes the bars you need to fish in the silt or 2ft off the far margin.

Every time the Linear bailiff comes round and says the complex is fishing badly, I do well. Hunts Corner can be a bit tricky. The savage liner one of you had was probably a cray. The crays love a bright pop up or wafter. But what I can’t understand is why the marker float has gone out of fashion. You’ve never fished at Hunts before, so the first thing you should have done was find out what’s out there. You were literally pub chucking and fishing blind. I don’t normally criticise a video, but all it showed was really poor angling from both of these lads.
@carpinterest2 ай бұрын
We don’t always put everything on camera but we always lead about when finding a spot. We use the marker float when we are zig fishing to find the depths. We only ever use a normal lead when trying to find a solid spot. Sometimes might use a grappling lead if we aren’t sure.
@CymruCelt012 ай бұрын
@@carpinterest fair enough. But like I said, I can’t understand why the marker float has gone out of fashion. You went to a lake you had never been before. You’re implying that you had a lead about off camera. Really? It was obvious you were way out of your depth. Trust me when I say this, Hunts can be very tricky, even at the best of times. You say that you use a marker rod to find out the depths for zigs. But you can use your marker for finding out how high up in the water a weed bed is. You can cast out a bare lead and get a decent donk, even when casting into weed. You can get low lying weed that you can present a chod over, but how do how high up in the water that low lying weed is, without a marker float? The best way to get a good reading of what’s in front of you is have a plumb about with your marker; and then, once you’ve found something that feels decent, use your marker float as a reference point and cast out a bear lead around to get a better sense of what you’re fishing over. I’m not saying thrash the water to a foam, but at least get a better sense of the substrate and weed depth in front of you, especially on a lake, or swim you’ve never fished on before.
@Carlmasters892 ай бұрын
Come on . Why the hate
@CymruCelt012 ай бұрын
@@Carlmasters89 I’m not hating anyone. I’m old and it hurts when I piss. So, I say things in a matter of fact way. In winter and in early spring, do not go to Linear without maggots. A low lying pop up, or wafter tipped with four to six maggots. You don’t have to gallons of maggots. 2 pints maximum for a 48 hr, or even a 72 hr sesh. Other methods, the snowman rig on a simple hair, and with a paste wrap. And when you visit a lake you’ve never fished before, do a recce and have a plumb about and find out what’s out there. If you can’t do a recce, have a plumb about at the start of the session with a marker and a bear lead and find what the substrate is. You might be fishing over black silt for all you know, which carp avoid like the plague. B1 and B2 make average anglers look good, even in the winter. But on Hunts Corner, where the fish don’t move about as much, that’s when average anglers get found out. It’s not hate. It’s just telling it like it is.
@alexfernandez44082 ай бұрын
You don’t always need a market float - linear has most of the depth maps for their lakes. A quick lead about can do the job. Great video boys, I was in the same swim (9) early in the year and recently. A pretty good swim, but the weather has been all over the place, a few days either side and I’m sure you would have caught!
