I wanted to build Judith years ago, but the lack of enough good cards deterred me quickly. This video inspired me to try brewing my own Judith deck again and it seems soooooo good for just a 50€ deck. Good amounts of everything essential topped off with at least 3 infinite combo enablers. Can't wait for the cards to arrive. 😎

The problem really only exists if you play against randoms in commander. If you have a play group, the commander experience is completely different and in your control. My group does not chase metas, and we rarely keep up with sets. It is like we are playing in a different reality separate from WOTC. I do not even know what sets are out and how many there are. If I see a commander I like, I build a deck for it, idk when it's released or if it is new or old, I just like the card and I making a deck for it. The thought of keeping up with sets in an eternal format sounds exhausting. You literally have forever to try every card. That is not what commander is supposed to be a meta format. Save that for cedh, standard, and competitive. Now it is easy for me to say that because I only play commander. Me and friends say we do not play mtg, we play commander. We see it as a separate entity from wotc and mtg. I guess me and group have a very old school EDH ming set. Cube seems like a similar mindset to my group and we might actually add this to our game night and doing our own cube set and draft and doing commander cube, seems fun. You have convinced me.

Never subscribed to a creator faster :) Moving away from consistently long-form content in the future, would you consider taking requests for commanders to make shorts about?

One of the tracks you showed was from Asian Man Records! I listened to a lot of their ska bands way back in the day. My picture is even on the cover of one of their old compilation albums (Mailorder for the Masses).

I think that players originally liked Keranos better because it was easier to randomly either draw or remove small creatures with cantrips on top of your normal draw and, most importantly, use zero additional mana while doing so. Wizards adding more payoffs for enchantments entering play and token creatures in BG definitely improved Pharika but Keranos' bolt factory is better at controlling problem creatures than maybe blocking with deathtouch tokens. Wiping the board with Setessan Tactics or using Ulvenwald Tracker to scare off attacks in a deathtouch deck never gets old though.

shandalar already has it's own set! it was M15. that's why soul of shandalar is in the set.

Just want to add, regarding Dungeon Meshi make sure to check that your subtitles are the English sub and not the English dub’s closed captions. The dub and its captions omits some world building and that is reflected in the English dub’s closed captions. In case anyone is wondering, the reason dubs get less accurate translations is because of variable speaking speeds between languages. As such the localiser/translator of the dub is not at fault they did what they had to and were also the localiser of the sub.
