First went to Alaska in 1962 and lived in a tent at moose creek. Caught a lot of salmon in that creek. A lot has changed since then.

No question, the Lower Gauley is easier than the Upper, but the Lower still looks plenty fun. The Lower looks like about a class 3 - 4 run, but the Upper is class 4 - 5.

Great description, although I will argue that Jaws is still a Class 4 swim. (So I hear) Good vid, love the sound of the river. The river level may have been a bit higher than posted, given the flow over the 'Seed'. ?
