Hi thank you for your great content, I’ve learnt a lot but also just enjoy watching the model come to life while you are painting it. Can I ask should you fill in drain holes if they are not seen (on joints) I’ve seen info on how to but not if you should or need not, all the best glenn

Not really necessary since they're not going to be seen.

Just a little tip, still on Chitubox, if you make the hole first while the piece is still solid, and only then leave the piece hollow, you will have a support wall for the magnet, making it easier to apply to the piece.

One more advanced way is to design a depressed 'basin' the diameter of you magnet in your CAD software before the slicer (say, 8 mm), then with the slicer poke a hole in it which is smaller in diameter (e.g. 6 mm) so that you end up with a circular depressed lip (1mm wide) all around the hole, that firmly fits and holds your magnet (I am speaking with the head upside down of course)

You should have only done the yellow a little coming out the eyes ,then heavily on the outer most part. Now It looks like a ketchup and mustard fight from start to finish.

Have you been looking at my workbench recently? I was literally doing magnets last night and having the issue with them falling in! The Q-tip trick is genius. I'll certainly be looking into doing that. I really wish Citubox, or Lychee would have a facility to make indented cylinders. That way you could make a capped hole the exact size you need for magnets. (Maybe one day) Thanks Henry! (Great hat btw) 👍

Like Henry said they hold your parts together but if you do not pay attention to the polarity they can also repel your parts from each other. 😮

Hi! I love your channel. I am new at resin 3d printing and i have applied your settings, compared to default settings (elegoo saturn 3 ultra), the printing time rises 100% (from 3 to 6 hours) is that correct? Or i am missing something? Thanks in advance
@TheCreativeCollector
@TheCreativeCollector 2 күн бұрын
That's normal on some printers. You can increase the lift speed if you want but I'm not too much worried about how fast it prints. These settings are for quality rather than speed.

Any suggestions on how to paint fishnets on a print? Everytime I try it, it just covers the skin tone and ends up looking like a solid stocking🤬

I know this video is a year old, but I am doing a Gambit statue. While following your video I set the hollow with the grid 3d. I did use the slide bar to see if any supports were being generated in the model and there were. My version of chitubox looks newer than the version you are using in this video. So is there a setting I am missing? or do I just go in and remove the unwanted supports?
@TheCreativeCollector
@TheCreativeCollector 3 күн бұрын
From what I hear the newer versions of Chitubox puts supports in there so you can remove them if you want. I use version 1.9.5.
