It is insane how unprepared a coastal community like Galveston is in the event of a hurricane. I was amazed at the floods, the power outages and the evac recommendation. This was a 1 on a scale of 5... In Florida a Cat 1 you still see people driving around like its any other day.

I just wanted to say amazing footage for what you could get glad you guys made it home an safe without incidents. But for the love of god from a junior volunteer firefighter in PA. Plsss listen to local law enforcement an emergency personnel during those storms because even severe thunderstorms that aren’t hurricanes or anything real big cause good amounts of damage an dangerous situations. Me personally I’ve seen a raised truck get taken off the road by rushing water that wasn’t even 4 inches. It’s doesn’t take a lot an once waters covering the rd it’s hard to know what’s going on underneath. Amazing coverage on the video tho 🙏👍

Sorry it was missed, but they sometimes they don’t get the information about it due to weather, which no one can control. Weather sucks sometimes. Gosh getting sick sucks, but that’s not rc’s fault but they should have seen you two for being sick. Period. Hope you both feel better soon! Try in march or April next time, weather is better and tends to be less kids.

So it was an intentional choice to leave the safety of your home to drive into Galveston Island and onto Seawall as the hurricane hit not because you all were called out do to your work (based on how the video started). I see the comments of “I am the first responder” like you all wouldn’t still need assistance if you got yourselves in a dangerous situation y’all weren’t prepared to handle (ex. The trees, power lines, transformers, etc. that were coming down could have hit your vehicle while driving). But hey. Glad you all made it back safe.

Now why would you do that?? Not only putting yalls lives in danger but the lives of first responders if something were to happen…Not very smart. SMH 🤦🏽‍♂️

I’m sorry you have had such a bad experience. We have been on 13 cruises and only one bad time on princess (which we will not go back on a princess again). The rest have been on carnival which we love and NCL which is even better. I can’t believe the price you paid. We come from Canada and we don’t pay that. Before taking anorher cruise remember this JASON (june, july, august, september, october, november) those are the months for hurricane season, when weather can ruin your cruise with cancellation of excursions and ports. Another thing, nothing is free on a cruise, there are items and services that are included in tour cruise fare and others that have an extra charge. 😎👍🏻

Don't judge Carnival until you have tried it, just like you tried royal and this was your experience.

I normally cruise in April/May and only experienced rain once. Last year I went in June and thankfully we were ahead of the rain at each port from day to day. I’d say choose a different time of year to cruise bc June 1-Nov 30 IS OFFICIALLY HURRICANE 🌀 SEASON 🤷🏽‍♀️

Greetings, after viewing your vlog, and seeing how you got around on the boat, made it to your mustard station, waiting till the 6 minute mark in your video before you mentioned the name of the boat, I think you did not do enough research on how to be a first time cruiser. There are tons of vlogs on KZfaq that have tips, tricks and hacks that would have helped you to navigate some of the issues you encountered on your cruise. You are on a cruise vacation, you are not in Heaven. There are things that will occur that RCL or any other cruise line can not control. I appreciate your opinion. And of course, they say opinions are like mothers...everybody has one. So now you have mine. 💩💩💩

Although that ship is way bigger with lots more to do than carnival, we just had the best time with carnival. Everyone was so nice. I hate you had a bad experience towards the end. Try carnival next time out of new Orleans.

I know it's hard to think about this, but don't let this first experience spoil everything about cruising. I have been on many cruises, with the majority on Royal. They are very good about addressing issues on the ship. If you choose to go again, I hope you have a better experience.

bean dip is legit. There is nothing better than having people you can trust at your home and with your business so you can actually go on vacation and RELAX. Happy 40th to James a few days late! I haven't cruised on RC in a loooooong time, I can't justify the prices for going the same exact places that Carnival is going. But we are weird cruisers, we don't ever do any ship-y like stuff, never any shows, or games, or anything like that. We literally get a room with a big balcony and just CHILL the entire 7 days. The last one we went on, we didn't even get off the ship at 2 of the stops, we just slept. I have been on three cruises that have gone from Key West, to the Bahamas to Cozumel and back to Galveston. But I have NEVER been to the Bahamas. All 3 of those cruises were re-routed due to weather. (apparently it be getting windy over to the Bahamas). So you kinda have to be open to curveballs, they can't control the weather - but it still sucks to have your heart set on doing something and not getting to do it. So sorry y'all got sick!! Nothing worse than not feeling well and not being in your own bathroom! Thank you for sharing your experience on RC! We cruise in November (anniversary and post-hurricane season, and slow times at the shops) and it's still plenty warm to enjoy all the beach/water things at the ports. I hope you guys give it another whirl. I thought Walter would hate cruising because he'd feel like he wasn't in control and couldn't go do whatever he wanted to do when he wanted to do it - kinda like Ronnie! lol, but he really enjoyed it. I learned after our first cruise together, that there is no way to get him to do anything ON the ship with me (like if I wanted to go to a show or something, I'd go by myself, because he just doesn't like people like that. But I have no issues going to a show by myself if I really wanted to go.) We have done all the fun things, mayan ruin excursions, etc.... but, we usually sleep, and then creep around the ship in the middle of the nights and eat pizza and hide and find ducks on Carnival. Did y'alls room face inside the ship? Or did it face out to the water?

Hey Tink! Been on 2 carnival cruises and had a blast on both but the second one I did get sick on the last day and on my first we hit 10 to 20 foot swells. Still had a blast and will go back. I feel like it’s just an easier way to travel. But to each their own. I tag you TikTok so you can see the quick video I made.

Don't be disappointed or discouraged on going. Carnival is so mych fun.

Honestly, Carnival would've never canceled the excursions. We've done the ATVs many times in storms. Go with us.

I hate you've had a bad experience. I have been on 18 cruises. I know you mentioned a dislike for Carnival, but 14 of my cruises have been with Carnival and have been a blast. The first time I went I felt like I was going on a Walmart Cruise, but I ended up loving it better than Princess.
