Hey stillfin did you know there is a creek that flows below jim thorpe? There are tunnels they made for the creek to go under houses. I heard there used to be a restaurant that you could see the water under the floor. Could you dive it?

This may be a taboo question, but how did you get there? A friend and I tried this and we only got so far and never found it. Is there some kind of trail?

My recollection was that the old covered bridge in Portland Pa was lifted off of it's pilings and washed down stream in 55 and took out the center section of the Free Bridge. It was a few years until Bethlehem steel could refabricate the steel to match the original bridge. In the interim there was a pontoon bridge (Bailey Bridge) next to it. Needless to say it swayed when you drove your car over it.
