Cannot see what you are referring to in the shadow of the gearbox.

Is it possible match a manual gearbox like that instead a automatic transmission (jatco) into a freelander?

Sod that job I will definitely find the money from somewhere and get it done at garage mines the diesel TD4 this motor although a good engine 'twas definitely shoehorned into the freelanders .

wow! At about 3:14, how did you manage to lift it all in one hand by yourself, the entire PG1 gearbox??! Doesn't it like have 70 or 80kilos in it? I've removed the PG1 gearbox previously and wouldn't try it without an engine crane, makes it so much simpler. Last week I successfully mated a Jatco auto box to the KV6 engine and the crane makes it quite easy, it helps to balance it evenly when lifting.

Great video siscg. I have EXACTLY the same problem with my Freelander 1.8 petrol. Just wish you lived close to me so I could call on you for a bit of advice as I have never done this before. Keep the videos coming as there very few on here for the Freelander clutch/gearbox etc.

Engine mounting was removed. Make sure the engine is properly supported and prevented from rocking before removing the mounting.
