I NEVER used cream or milk. I wouldn't grate it either. Just put corn off the cob thinly. Then scrap the cob with the back of a knife. Add a little water, cook, season in butter.

Why do yankees have a very liberal definition of moist. First hint is saying you have to really look for the juice is a clear indication how dry it is. Next that you need to dip in the sauce jn the pan proves the Mojave has more moisture in it.... And why even leave the fat cap on if you're putting it on the bottom?
