I played OW since release and the best time period was right before Orisa's release. That's when the game was at it's peak and everything started slowing down and falling off after that. Then we got bombarded by the a whole pack of heros who arguably take less skill to play, just because casual players were complaining they were getting decked by sweaty Tracers. They should have made matches more balanced, but they gave us Doomfist, Brigitte, Moira and some more, where you just need to bash your head against the keyboard and something will happen. Now we are having problems with power creep, because every new hero got their skill checks handed to them by pressing a button. Just compare the kit of the very first hero introduced after release (Ana) and the kit of a hero we got down the line (Bap or Kiri). The new kits have so much utility you can't even compare them to the old ones. Poor McCassidy needed to get a bunch of damage reducitons for his roll and ult, just for his abilities to be relevant in the current state of OW Thank you for coming to my TED talk

@@LaffyLounge Buddy and I used to no-life the game back then. We really loved the 3v3 eliminations mode. So much, that we could comfortably win them 2v3 nearly every time and I managed to clutch them 1v3 as Widow a handful of times. That was back when you would get a loot box after three wins in arcade modes (max three per week). I managed to get really close to having full inventory near the end of OW1. I would probably have everything unlocked from loot-boxes alone, but I stopped playing the game when it lost its charm, even before they "released" OW2. Now you have a shop that doesn't even give me skins that I would consider buying (disregarding the fact that I wouldn't ever spend money on skins) and battlepasses that are simply laughable. Another funny thing about the "release of OW2" is when they kept saying how it's running on a new engine. I wouldn't bother arguing against it, but there were literally the same bugs with net-code or a handful of abilities, as there were near the beginning of OW1 and also the fact that the OW dev team is so understaffed, they literally wouldn't have the man-power to remake OW from the engine up. And all this because Bobby Cottick was pissed that OW overtook his precious baby Call of Duty in popularity. He decided to boycott this by ordering the OW devs to do some seemingly amazing stuff for the game like map-editors and what not, only to tell them to scrap it once they were done. This is literally the reason why there was a two year period where OW1 received almost no updates. The literal CEO of Blizzard was boycotting the game.

pls dont - there was a reason all these busted abilities were removed or changed. (because they were no fun to play or play aginst) noone wants to shoot barriers for 15 min until the hanzo hits a scatter that just onehits one of the tanks and wins the game. I wouldnt want anyone of the ow team having to make that mode if they could do anything else instead like a good limited time event like mirrorwatch.

you say no one, but i have quite a few just in these comments that would love it, me included! it would also help people appreciate the current game as it is more! it would ALSO let people who never got to play ow1 experience the chaos a little. not ever ltm has to pander to everyone. a LOT of peole i have talked to said they would love an lmt for it. and it could be fun to go back to the ow1 roots for a week or two. and you know what the BEST part of an ltm is??? you dont have to play it if you dont think you would like it! you could always....not play it...let those who cant to play play....and just....play the ow2 modes?

@LaffyLounge the problem it that it is a lot of work since the Servers can't handle 6v6 anymore - so having to work on it means less time for other stuff - that is the point I was trying to make. I wouldn't want developer to spend so much time on upgrading the servers as well as the game mode just to have people get the experience of how unbalanced it was while they could try new modes that may cater to more people. Renanaging the Servers would just cost a lot of time and money - its just not worth it

I feel like an OverWatch 1 mode would end up overtaking the main game mode and I am absolutely for it. They should absolutely add an OverWatch one game mode permanently

@@gadazlin6264 honestly, im a simple girl. i LOVE the bp and rewards. however i do think there could be more. like....why are the cosmetics only till level 80? why is there 120 levels for 5 titles?? like, no one even changes those that often. at least give us the extra 20 levels to 100 for cosmetics.

Tbh all they need to do is to make things earnable. The 600 overwatch coins in the battle pass is a start, but it needs to be better than that. I miss in overwatch 1 where you could earn a loot box every three games ( I think, I forget how that worked)

well this would just be a limited event mode. so it would only be for fun. and to let people who never played try out all teh original abilities. and, despite some feelings to it, that would include mercy rez. personally, i KNOW it was bad. but, as a mercy player, i would also LOVE to be able to experience it.

i never got to play it in it's originality, however i could get behind the idea. but personally, i'd prefer a 3rd dps or support. tanks are already sooooo hard to take care of and almost impossible to heal. i could not imagine trying to keep 2 tanks alive while also healing 2 dps.

@LaffyLounge See Ana's are a problem, and Mercy's will often try to elude you, Focus on DPS especially if they have squishier ones like Widow or Tracer if you can catch her

Fun fact: you can get the entire team up there with sym tp, and it’s a good place to reaper tp and get a big ult. But I honestly didn’t think widow can get up there by herself, great vid 👍🏻
