Unless I am missing something......What I find crazy as a non electrician but rather as a hobbyist in electronic and electrical is that one cannot confirm what is done without BUYING a copy of the standard at ridiculous prices whereas ALL of which in my view should be available free of charge like any other laws in our country. Is this just a money making affair???

Great to use local products however I just see "fee" "fee" "fee" ...so now local product costs more than international product further alienating the local market from local products. There is already certification done on local products for example Equipment for hazardous area's and equipment using radio's. Since the gov doesn't make on taxes on the local product as done on foreign product on custom duties they turn to this scheme to further tax the industry... Not a very healthy scheme and in my point of view you killing more productivity than promoting it.

The more additions the harder the exam and more money lost whereas those who passed moons ago got off with minimal load and earning more buck.Think its totally not fair.
