This was a fantastic show and the audience was definitely in MMW mode. 11/11/11 was a jam packed day at this festival, so many killer shows all day and night. One of my most memorable musical adventures!

I remember crying during this song. It was so special. Sunday morning. It was that good good energy. Funny watching him get flustered. He’s not aware that the crowd didn’t hear any mistakes. It was perfect

Was anybody else at the Bernie gig at the Lexington Hotel in Lexington, NY? It was in the early oughts. I'd love to see a video of that.
@TheFunkItBlog5 ай бұрын
I sure wasn't. But I do remember driving to see Bernie in Lexington at Lynaugh's back in 2001 or so, arriving and finding out the place was closed and no one was there. Maybe the show got moved to the Lexington Hotel and I didn't know it. I just drove back to Louisville disapointed I think.
@chillavision76545 ай бұрын
@@TheFunkItBlog I think we might be referring to different Lexingtons. Lexington NY is very small and I never heard of a Lynaugh's.

Shades of the Greatful Dead here, esp in Scofield's tone and the units ever looping interlocking improv, but also in the harmony....very special!

at about 13:00 a drum solo starts an soon sth goes wrong with the drum set and then a guy comes from behind the scene and fixes whatever it is. I'd have liked to see Mr. Wood (?) interrupt his playing, thank the guy and present him to the audience and then take up his playing again. i find this idea of the big music machine that can not be interrupted under almost no circumstances because it's so damn important ridiculous. Relax ! and i like the music here very much !

I thoroughly enjoyed this more than anything I have heard from the Chris Robinson Brotherhood. I frankly had a pretty low opinion of Chris Robinson's work outside of the Crowes until hearing this.

How the fuck can you Not Like this? The solo by Leo in Africa is such a aural pleasure. Have loved his tone since hearing Cissy Strut 1st time in 1970 in Detroit on radio, don't recall if it was WABX or W4. It was tonally different from what I heard as a kid on AM Detroit radio in 60's. Life long Meters fan.
